Just a reminder of how things used to be when we were back in Piazzetta della Musica, the "biggest small venue on the planet" as it was once described.
And perhaps it might also help explain why we've opted for a hybrid seating-standing setup this year.
On this occasion, Syncage were a band of exceptionally talented young musicians whom very few people had heard of. Yet instead of performing to rows of empty seats, as some of our opening acts have experienced in Revislate, they played to a crowd gathered close to the stage. It wasn't a huge audience, but it was an engaged one.
What followed was exactly what live music is all about: that special exchange of energy between performers and listeners. The audience fed off the band's enthusiasm, and the band responded to the crowd's warmth and attention. The result was a genuine sense of connection — a band-audience symbiosis that lifted the performance and created an atmosphere far greater than would have otherwise been possible.

Un piccolo promemoria di come stavano le cose quando eravamo ancora in Piazzetta della Musica, definita un tempo "il più grande piccolo location del pianeta".
E forse può anche aiutare a spiegare perché quest'anno abbiamo scelto una formula ibrida, con posti a sedere e area in piedi.
In quell'occasione, i Syncage erano una band di giovani musicisti straordinariamente talentuosi che quasi nessuno conosceva. Eppure, invece di suonare davanti a file di sedie vuote, come è capitato ad alcuni dei nostri gruppi di apertura a Revislate, si sono trovati davanti a un pubblico raccolto sotto il palco. Non era una folla immensa, ma era un pubblico presente, coinvolto e partecipe.
Quello che ne è seguito è l'essenza stessa della musica dal vivo: quello speciale scambio di energia tra chi sta sul palco e chi ascolta. Il pubblico si nutriva dell'entusiasmo della band, e la band rispondeva al calore e all'attenzione del pubblico. Il risultato è stato un autentico senso di connessione, una vera simbiosi tra artisti e spettatori che ha elevato l'esibizione e creato un'atmosfera che altrimenti sarebbe stata impossibile da raggiungere.

Some of you have asked for clarification on the new festival layout, so we've prepared this floor plan for you. Obviously, closer to the time, when the stage and stands have been assembled we'll post pictures and videos so you all have a better idea.

Let's get back to completing our Forum 19 line-up.
On Sunday, 6th September, alongside the already announced Efemeral , we'll be welcoming Genoese band, Fungus Family, proudly representing our friends and record label partners over at BLACK WIDOW RECORDS.
Sunday afternoon is going to be a real treat for true prog connoisseurs.
And don't forget: every show at Forum 19 is completely FREE. No main-stage festival ticket is required, and the venue is fully seated for your comfort. Great music, a relaxed atmosphere, and no admission charge—what's not to love?

Il pomeriggio di domenica si preannuncia come una vera delizia per i più raffinati intenditori del prog.
E non dimenticate: tutti gli spettacoli del Forum 19 sono completamente GRATUITI. Non è necessario acquistare un biglietto per il palco principale del festival e la sala dispone esclusivamente di posti a sedere per il massimo comfort del pubblico. Well, our announcement regarding ticket prices and the festival's new format appears to have caused quite a stir, with plenty of ̵h̵̵e̵a̵̵t̵̵e̵̵d̵, sorry, passionate opinions being shared. So, while we take a brief respite from the controversy, we'd like to turn the spotlight onto something a little less contentious and a lot more musical.
Festival friend Kristoffer Gildenlöw's new album, [𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅], was released yesterday. Hurrah! 🥳🤩
Some of you were lucky enough to hear a few of the new songs being tried and tested live here at the festival when Kristoffer graced us with his presence over at Forum 19, not once but TWICE. We did invite him back this year for a special early-morning acoustic performance, tentatively titled "𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙡ö𝙬 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨", in the area beside the sports field (although, admittedly, that wouldn’t have worked out too well in the event of rain 😆) but sadly he had to decline due to other personal priorities.

Beh, il nostro annuncio riguardo ai prezzi dei biglietti e al nuovo formato del festival sembra aver sollevato un bel po’ di discussioni, con molte opinioni piuttosto accese—scusate, appassionate—che si sono fatte sentire. Quindi, mentre ci prendiamo una breve pausa dalla controversia, vorremmo spostare i riflettori su qualcosa di un po’ meno divisivo e decisamente più musicale.
Il nuovo album dell’amico del festival Kristoffer Gildenlöw, [𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅], è uscito ieri. Evviva! 🥳🤩
Alcuni di voi sono stati abbastanza fortunati da ascoltare alcuni dei nuovi brani in anteprima qui al festival, quando Kristoffer si è esibito al Forum 19, non una ma DUE volte. Quest’anno lo avevamo anche invitato a tornare per una speciale esibizione acustica all’alba, provvisoriamente intitolata “𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙡ö𝙬 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨”, nell’area accanto al campo sportivo (anche se, a dire il vero, non sarebbe stata proprio l’idea migliore in caso di pioggia 😆), ma purtroppo ha dovuto declinare per altri impegni personali.

Hurrah! We are happy to announce that you can now get your one-day and weekend tickets at the link below.
One-day tickets cost just €15.00 (€13.00 for Association members) and weekend tickets are available for €40.00 (€35.00 for members). Yes, this is a slight increase over previous years, but still enormously good value for money. We have our wonderful sponsors to thank for allowing us to keep it this low.
This year general admission tickets only are available. This is due to our new hybrid set-up. This year there will be two stands with seating and the area directly in front of the stage will be for standing. We hope this satisfies everyone's viewing/participation preference.
And no! seating cannot be pre-booked, members of the audience may occupy any available free seat.
