Per la seconda volta negli ultimi tre anni, ESTONIA NATIONAL TEAM si laurea Campione nella 36ª Coppa Alberto Giove, superando in una combattutissima semifinale i Lituani di Tornado Kaunas, e in finale una delle più belle novità di quest'anno, Derthona Basket.
Ulteriore motivo di soddisfazione i titoli di miglior marcatore e miglior giocatore del torneo assegnato all'eccellente Bert Martin

For the second time in three years, the Estonia National Team has been crowned champion of the 36th Alberto Giove Cup, defeating Lithuania's Tornado Kaunas in a hard-fought semifinal and overcoming one of this year's standout new teams, Derthona Basket, in the final.
An added source of satisfaction was the awarding of the tournament's top scorer and MVP titles to the outstanding Bert Martin.

Ancora una volta sul podio, come sempre fin dalla prima partecipazione, ancora una volta un pizzico di sfortuna, ma il solito eccellente Basket fatto di individualità e di compattezza di squadra. Una semifinale persa dopo furibonda lotta contro i futuri campioni, e un 3. Posto agguantato con una tripla sulla sirena del terzo tempo supplementare.

Once again on the podium—as has been the case since their very first appearance—once again a stroke of bad luck, yet the same excellent brand of basketball, combining individual talent with team cohesion. They lost a fiercely contested semi-final against the eventual champions, but clinched third place with a three-pointer at the buzzer of the third overtime period.
