L’Associazione Francesco Mochi è nata da un gruppo di appassionati fotografi nel 1964. Ancor oggi condividiamo quella passione e quell’entusiasmo iniziali, continuando le nostre periodiche attività presso la nostra sede in Piazza Battisti. Il venerdì è il giorno stabilito per i nostri incontri nei quali vengono proiettate diapositive oppure mostrate foto scattate dai soci,
vengono messi a disposizione dei partecipanti riviste e libri fotografici, ma soprattutto si svolgono incontri con fotografi ed esperti. Annualmente viene effettuato un corso di fotografia, generalmente da febbraio a maggio, avvalendoci dell’opera del fotografo Oscar Pianigiani. Il mese di Maggio costituisce un altro appuntamento fisso per il Circolo Fotografico Mochi ed i suoi partecipanti, con “Maggio Fotografia”: allestiamo, infatti, quattro mostre fotografiche presso il Chiostro di Cennano, le prime tre con scatti dei più noti autori della fotografia amatoriale italiana e una dei frequentanti il corso annuale. Il Chiostro di Cennano è sede anche della mostra di tutti i soci dell’Associazione svolta durante la Festa del Perdono di Montevarchi. Inoltre è il Circolo stesso ad organizzare annualmente, con il patrocinio della F.I.A.F., il “Concorso Nazionale di Fotografia Città di Montevarchi”, allestendo successivamente una mostra con le opere partecipanti, nel periodo natalizio, presso l’Auditorium della città. Organizziamo infine giornate fotografiche periodiche con gite aperte ai soci e ai simpatizzanti.

The "Francesco Mochi" Association was founded by a group of passionate photographers in 1964. Still today, we share that passion and enthusiasm, continuing our regular activities at our offices in C. Friday is the day fixed for our meetings, during which we show slides or pictures taken by the members; magazines and photo books are available to participants; we also have meetings with photographers and experts. Each year, there is course of photography, usually from February to May, taking advantage of the work of our best photographers. The month of May is another important appointment for the club and its participants, in fact we set up "May Photography", four exhibitions at the Cloister of Cennano, the first three exhibitions show shots by the most famous authors of amateur photography in Italy, and the other, shows pictures by the participants attending the annual photography course. The Cloister of Cennano is also set up for the exhibition of all the members of the Association, during the village festival in Montevarchi, in september. It is also the same Circle that organizes yearly, with the support of FIAF, the "National Competition of Photography - City of Montevarchi", then setting up an exhibition of the works participating in the Christmas season. Finally, we organize photographic sessions, and periodic trips that are open to members and supporters.
