MCIFF, a world of magic, a world of film!
The veins of film were born in the Cairo Montenotte region, specifically Ferrania. A household name in the film world since the early 19th century, where would film be without film reels? Society and the community flourished, and the magic of film became global!
Digitalization opened doors, but unfortunately, Ferrania's doors closed. Society fragmented, and the magic slowly faded. This rich history in the film world cannot be forgotten. A reason to relive that golden age every year. To bring society together and recapture the magic of film.
With our Film Festival, we not only want to push the boundaries internationally, but also the community!
Past editions have proven our strength and drive to bring people together. We welcome films from over 50 countries! The filmmakers came and enjoyed themselves, which is why they keep coming back. The greatest compliment you can receive. The filmmakers enjoyed not only the film festival but also the surrounding area. They strolled through the picturesque streets, drank wine in the bars, and even shed a few tears at the farewell.
The film festival also gives talented individuals the opportunity to connect with each other. New collaborations within the film world and beyond. For this reason, we also give musicians, artists (such as medieval combat, characteristic of the region), performers, and others the chance to showcase their talents to the public. The audience was amazed by biovoid , the "medieval" Massimo Gazzano , the young virtuoso pianist Tiago Rocca, and more.
And of course, we can't forget:
The authentic Italian dinner, with stories told while enjoying the various dishes. A friendly atmosphere that connects, the private conversations, the laughter, the hugs, and more—impossible to describe without being there.
MCIFF is more than just a film festival!
It's an event that connects the community with the film world.
An event where networking is a part of it, but also offers opportunities. An event where everyone can be who they are!
