Presentiamo le due artiste della seconda serata del festival: Janneke van der Putten e Clara de Asis
🐚___Janneke van der Putten è un’artista visiva e con base a Rotterdam, nei Paesi Bassi. La è il suo strumento principale, che la guida attraverso esplorazioni fisiche e sonore in diversi paesaggi.
Relazionandosi con luoghi specifici e contesti locali, investiga le risposte (umane) a ciò che la circonda, e la loro relazione con fenomeni naturali come l’alba.
Janneke ha portato a termine una laurea triennale in TXT (Textile) alla Gerrit Rietveld Academie di Amsterdam, e una laurea in Artistic Research alla Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Ha studiato musica classica dell’India Settentrionale con Amelia Cuni e Marianne Svašek a Berlino e Rotterdam, ed è autodidatta in varie tecniche vocali estese.

She develops an approach to sound that highlights simplicity, non-intervention and active listening as means of music making. Her works display an extreme precision and intuitive openness that involves a dedicated attention to sound on its details and its most pure forms.
As well as as her main instrument, she uses different combinations of objects, materials and sound sources, incorporating electroacoustics and minimal approaches.
De Asís’s compositions utilizes a , spatial framework in which performers can create individual sounds with personal instrumentation to attain a paradoxical but coherent result, bringing out unexpected possibilities and revelations coming from the sound itself.
Her music has been showcased in many international scenes including New York, Berlin, Paris, Prague, Calcutta, Stockholm, Madrid, Huddersfield and Helsinki.
