📣 OPEN CALL CURATRICI & CURATORI

Yeast Photo Festival apre la seconda edizione della sua open call curatoriale!

Saranno selezionate due figure:
• un/a curatore/curatrice con cittadinanza di un paese europeo
• un/a curatore/curatrice pugliese

Il nostro obiettivo? Costruire uno spazio curatoriale aperto e internazionale, che metta in relazione visioni europee e prospettive locali.

📸 La proposta dovrà essere:
• basata sul lavoro di un* sol* artista con nazionalità e residenza in Europa
• in linea con il tema di quest’anno, A Matter of Taste

Possono candidarsi:
• curatori e curatrici con cittadinanza di un paese europeo
• curatori e curatrici pugliesi

📩 Partecipa inviando entro il 7 giugno 2026 un PDF unico (max 10 MB) a [email protected] con:
• proposta curatoriale (max 2.000 battute)
• presentazione del progetto fotografico
• immagini + bio artista
• bio curatore/curatrice

I risultati saranno comunicati entro il 31 luglio 2026.

Yeast Photo Festival launches the second edition of its curatorial open call!

Two curatorial figures will be selected:
• one curator with citizenship of a European country
• one Apulia-based curator 

Our goal? To build an open and international curatorial space that connects European visions with local perspectives.

📸 Proposals must:
• be based on the work of one artist with European citizenship and residency
• respond to this year’s theme, A Matter of Taste

Who can apply:
• Curators with citizenship of a European country and based in Europe
• Apulia-based curator

📩 Apply by sending one PDF file (max 10 MB) by 7 June 2026 to [email protected] including:
• curatorial proposal (max 2,000 characters)
• presentation of the photographic project
• images + artist bio
• curator bio

Results will be announced by 31 July 2026.

Il cibo è identità, cultura, memoria.
Parla di chi siamo, delle nostre origini e del mondo in cui viviamo.

📸 La quinta edizione di Yeast Photo Festival esplora il legame profondo tra alimentazione e società, invitando a riflettere su come le nostre scelte alimentari siano intrecciate a tradizioni, contesti familiari, pratiche culturali e trasformazioni storiche.

Un percorso visivo che indaga il cibo come linguaggio universale, capace di rivelare dinamiche sociali, appartenenze e cambiamenti, tra dimensione intima e collettiva.

Come il cibo contribuisce a definire la nostra identità, oggi?

📸 The fifth edition of the Yeast Photo Festival explores the deep relationship between food and society, inviting us to reflect on how our dietary choices are shaped by traditions, family backgrounds, cultural practices, and historical transformations.

A visual journey that looks at food as a universal language, capable of revealing social dynamics, belonging, and change — between personal and collective dimensions.

Siamo profondamente addolorati per la scomparsa di Martin Parr e profondamente grati di aver avuto questo grande maestro della fotografia con noi nel Salento solo poche settimane fa, a fine settembre, quando abbiamo avuto modo di conoscerlo come una persona dalla curiosità sconfinata e dall’umorismo straordinario.
Custodiamo ogni singolo momento trascorso insieme, anche quelli più semplici: condividere un pasto con lui nella mensa del team, vederlo trascorrere del tempo con gli altri fotografi esponenti mentre discutevano del loro lavoro, o osservarlo parlare con bambini, fan e matinesi, sempre con la sua inconfondibile semplicità e il suo fascino.
È stato un onore lavorare con lui, un piacere accoglierlo e una gioia poter trascorrere del tempo in sua compagnia.
Grazie, Martin, per tutto.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Martin Parr, and deeply grateful to have had this great master of photography with us in Salento only a few weeks ago, in late September, when we had the chance to get to know him as a person of boundless curiosity and wonderful humour.
We cherish every single moment we shared, even the simplest ones: sharing a meal with him in the team canteen, seeing him spend time with the other exhibiting photographers as they discussed their work, or watching him talk with children, fans, and Matinesi, always with his trademark simplicity and charm.
It was an honour to work with him, a pleasure to welcome him, and a joy to share time in his company.
Thank you, Martin, for everything.

La quarta edizione di YEAST Photo Festival si chiude alla grande: oltre 20.000 di voi sono passati a viverla con noi!

Ventimila sguardi, ventimila storie, un unico viaggio: “(N)Ever Enough”.

In un’epoca in cui basta un click per avere tutto, la fotografia ci ha aiutato a guardare dietro le quinte dell’abbondanza: sprechi, disuguaglianze, impatti ambientali.

Dal cuore di Matino fino al resto del Salento, 15 mostre – con artisti italiani e internazionali – hanno aperto domande e nuove consapevolezze su ciò che consumiamo ogni giorno.
