The 6th memorable edition of the Controllers’ Music Festival has come to an end, for the first time on board a shining cruise ship, COSTA FASCINOSA.
An exciting challenge that was reflected, since the first days of the launch in the numbers of participants: 500 Comufers from over 30 countries, who arrived like an overwhelming wave with new bands and already known and highly anticipated bands, who made this festival an unprecedented success! Although we were prepared for any eventuality, there were some hitches, impossible to predict, which highlighted, once again, the spirit of the Comufest: the union of people, the love for music and the family we have created, managing to overcome a technical contingency and ensuring an impeccable show and the right space for all participants, also using our afternoon back-up slot.
Our mixer n.1 had a crash few minutes before live and so we changed it with our mixer n.2 in 35 minutes.
In this regard, we thank the bands that underwent a change in the lineup, adapting to the new configuration, without the slightest hesitation: KosmikK and Aku Stick At Sea, the DJs Un-Identified Jiri Stepanek and DJ Anna, for having anticipated and extended their performance, covering the entire duration of the live and Psy ChoTropical for having spontaneously given their availability to play on day 3, helping us eventually to complete the line-up and therefore being able to allow all the participants to play.
We want to thank the bands for having postponed their performances on day4: Slavomir Novotny & THE PENETRATORS and THE WAYPOINTS (Beatriz Juan Mariño) because they fully understand the issue that we faced.
Thanks to everyone for having understood the unpredictability of the urgency and for having put the goal of the festival first: "the show and the fun of EVERYONE!".
Thanks to all the participating bands, the soul of the festival who, accepting this new challenge, played without brakes making the Chery lounge explode. Thanks to all the padel players who fought with great sportsmanship, respect, goliardic spirit and never losing sight of the objective of the tournament: HAVE FUN. Thanks to CARLOS for the precious and irreplaceable collaboration that allowed us to play the Pro and Fun tournament, in a single day, in the VilaPadel center in Barcelona.
Thanks to our padel sponsor Alpaca Padel who provided us with a part of the prizes for the winning padel players.
Thanks to Mauro from the PERFORMANCES SRL service in Bologna, and to all his staff, Gaetano, Viviana and Alessio, for having worked assiduously over 12 hours a day allowing us to create an impeccable show and an exceptional setup, with top-level professional equipment (4,5 tons of equipment set in 4 hours, including those famous mixer n.1, n.2 and n.3).
Thanks to Studio Lynx for the professional and assiduous presence with a camera, ready to capture the most beautiful shots on board. Thanks to Specchio Selfie Salento - Photobooth for having us have fun and publish even during the navigation far from the Mediterranean coasts, in super fun poses and also in groups. Thanks to Anacna, main sponsor who, believing in a super ambitious project, continues to confirm its trust in our work.
Thanks to Costa for the unlimited availability, which allowed us to embark more than 4 tons of material for the service and proving to be an excellent partner in this experience.
A huge thank you to the precious collaborators on board Costa Fascinosa POMPEO, SALVATORE, MARCO AND GIGI, and to LUNA of the central offices, without whom we would not have been able to realize this mega project.
Thanks to PEPPE TOSTO, our Costa reference since July 2023, an essential ally and attentive planner. A big brother who immediately understood the potential of our event and supported us at every moment without hesitation.
Thanks to our wild presenters Matt Eo and Marco Borlina and to our presenters Paula Barrick, Inés Martín Bernardo , Ingrid Eilu, Nancy Suggars and the new discovery Rhianna-Lynn H-f! Thanks to you who are our interface with the public and the voice of all of us, thanks for putting yourselves on the line every year on a stage that has now become huge, guaranteeing a flawless show! Thanks to Anita and James Daher, who once again gave us hilarious moments during the award ceremony for the padel players in the theater! We hope we never have to do without you!
Thanks to the staff, of only 4 people, who worked assiduously for 18 months, to bring home this unimaginable result. In addition to the work on board, there is work that is not seen, that is done behind the scenes and that often remains unknown.
We therefore thank: Lilia Maffei, our graphic designer and social media manager, because everything we wear and see branded is conceived, designed and created by her, from the welcome pack to the t-shirts, posters, lanyards, stickers, badges, drumsticks, plectrums and all the production and management of social media; Antonio Civino: our treasure chest, the one who with careful, delicate and meticulous planning of the budget and every expense, allowed the event to exist concretely, effectively carrying out an unprecedented financial and management operation;
Francesco Gagliardi: the booking man, the one who for months managed thousands of data and the organization of the Padel tournament in Barcelona;
Davide Daniele: Intermediary with Costa, staff coordinator and artistic director of the live.
Thanks to all of you più attivi Comufers, for believing in an ambitious and unattainable project for many, but proven not impossible. A project that wanted to increase the offer not only for those who perform but also for groupies and families who choose to come and have fun for 5 days!
Now we want to reassure you and calm you down, we have taken a year of time, between tears and heartbeats, not because we are out of breath, but because we need the run-up to something even bigger and more memorable that is already cooking!!! We are already working to prepare the 7th edition (OPEN TO ALL COMUFERS AND BANDS) and we are evaluating the options so that it is truly special!
In the meantime, we will see each other again for some random appointments, organized by this great family somewhere in the world... keeping the flame of Comufest alive and waiting for the 2026 event!
