La Casella Festival is a boutique festival taking place this September in an intimate rustic location set within Italy’s green heart of Umbria, close to Ficulle. Situated at the bottom of a valley, the festival site is a wondrous space surrounded by rolling hills, dense woodland and olive groves that stretch into the hazy horizon.
Featuring Italy’s finest, the magnificent Daniele Baldelli, as well as Alex Neri, Don Carlos, DJ Rocca and Franz Scala, DJs from the UK include Ray Mang, Faze Action, Al Kent and Chris Coco among others. With some of the finest names in balearic and house music gracing the bill, this eclectic line up of DJs will host their sunny soundtrack to the event from poolside during the day to the walled gardens of La Casella and a secret vault hidden within the grounds throughout the evening.
La Casella is launching this year to an intimate crowd of 400 friends, family and music lovers in the know. The idea is a boutique festival with an artistic soul, far removed from the ethos of ‘big clubbing’, with a music policy centred around top-quality balearic and house music. The extremely intimate nature of the location and the suggestive setting, between woods and streams, brings it closer to a ‘spiritual retreat’ than to the idea of an electronic music festival as we’re used to conceiving it today.
