Diplomata all’Accademia del Balletto Bolshoi e vincitrice del Prix de Lausanne, Maria ha costruito una carriera straordinaria come étoile del San Francisco Ballet, dell’American Ballet Theatre e del Finnish National Ballet, esibendosi inoltre come ospite nelle più prestigiose compagnie del mondo, tra cui La Scala di Milano, il Mariinsky, il Bolshoi e il Royal Danish Ballet.

She began her classical and contemporary dance studies at the Accademia del Balletto Lucano, directed by Loredana Calabrese, starting from the age of six.⁠
She continued her training at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala and the Balletto di Toscana, subsequently joining the Balletto di Toscana company, under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini.⁠
Since 2015 she has been working as a solo dancer and dance troupe at the Teatro Stabile in Munster (Germany), under the direction of Hans Henning Paar.⁠
Since 2017 she has been working as a freelance dancer for national and international choreographers and she is permanently part of the staff of the Balletto Lucano company.⁠
She is a doctor in Arts, Music and Entertainment at the University of Turin, and in 2020 she began a specialization path as a clinical dance therapist, with the desire to combine the artistic aspect of dance with the practical/organizational and therapeutic one.⁠

Sara Pennella ()⁠

Sara Pennella began her dance studies at Loredana Calabrese’s Balletto Lucano school in Senise (PZ), and at Pollino Danza she won a scholarship for the Ballet school of Tuscany in Florence (2007/2011) and joined the Junior company of the same.⁠
In October 2012 she took a contract with the Oniin dance Company of Bologna with which she carried out tours in Italy and abroad. In the same year she joined the cast of the musical “My Fair Lady” by Massimo Romeo Piparo at the Sistina Theater for the Italian tour. In February 2015 she signed her first foreign contract for the Tanz & Kunst company directed by Brigitta Luisa Merki in Switzerland, with which she still collaborates today on various productions.⁠
She also works for Monica Casadei’s Artemis Danza company from Parma and Claudio Ronda’s Fabula Saltica company from Rovigo. From 2016 to 2018 she joined the artistic cast of the Garden Club Toscana under the direction of Noemi Rossi, completing herself artistically with a vast musical repertoire. In 2017 she works at Gardaland and at the same time for the Dutch Samadhi Dance Company of Vraja Sundari Keilman, she also takes part in various Dinner Shows.⁠
In 2018 she was cast in the opera musical Otello-L’ultimo Bacio directed by Wayne Fowkes and in the same year she became a member of the NoGraity dance company in Rome with which she carried out various tours in Italy and abroad . In 2019 she took part in two other productions together with the Swiss company Flamencos En Route and in the same year she embarked on a new and exciting experience as assistant / dancer of the illusionist magician Gaetano Triggiano with whom she participated in the show “Zauber, Zauber” at the Wintergarten of Berlin.⁠
In 2020 she participates in the “LABYRITH” project in state schools in the Aargau region (Switzerland) as a teacher and choreographer.⁠

Multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Her artistic research focuses on the semiotics and politics of the body and its gestures, understood as signals always exposed to rewriting and re-interpretation. Through the creation of choreographic compositions, in which sounds, bodies and objects interact to generate a shared landscape, her work explores the relationship between voice and action.⁠
The voice, as a tool of connection with the outside, becomes the place through which stories of bodies pass in a continuous movement.⁠

Born in Canosa di Puglia in 1993, he began his dance studies at “Centro Teatro Danza” directed by Dora Martinelli at the age of 12 and in 2007 he moved to Reggio Emilia to attend the training of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli as a scholarship holder , he remained there until 2009 when he received a scholarship for the Tuscan Ballet school directed by Cristina Bozzolini and then joined the youth company.⁠
In 2014 he was admitted to the Agora coaching project specialization course directed by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli.⁠
Both during his training and immediately afterward he had the opportunity to work with high-profile choreographers both in Italy and abroad such as Francesco Nappa, Fabrizio Monteverde, Eugenio Scigliano, Arianna Benedetti, Emanuele Soavi, Enrico Morelli; he was a dancer for Lost Movement (Nicolò Abbattista), Cie Octavio de la Roza (Octavio de la Roza), MMCompany (Michele Merola), Prendashanseaux (Antonio Bissiri and Fabio Sau).⁠
In 2018, together with Rocco Suma and Mario Coccetti, he founded Purple S, a contemporary dance company for which he is also a resident choreographer.⁠
He is currently a permanent dancer of Artemis Danza directed by Monica Casadei and associate choreographer of the company.⁠
He carries forward, through aesthetic and choreographic research, a constantly evolving authorial path which has materialized to date in NOVILUNIO •• and UCSO scheduled for the 2023/2024 season of festivals and theaters both in Italy and abroad.⁠

Agnese Trippa was born in Bologna in 1997. She studied at the Balletto di Toscana school in Florence directed by Cristina Bozzolini, later she attended the MP3 Project professional introduction course by Michele Pogliani. Among her most important engagements, in 2017 she worked under the direction of Emir Kusturica and Nicola Zorzi with the choreography of Michele Abbondanza and Antonella Bertoni, she also danced “Esili” by Loredana Calabrese. In 2019 she worked for Michele Pogliani in “Devotee”, for Ballandi Casa di Produzione Televisiva with Filippo Timi and Francesca Romana Di Maio, she is part of the project “La Bella Vergogna” by La fura dels Baus for Matera Capitale della cultura 2019. Between 2020 and 2021 she was a dancer in “Dance the Distance” by Ariella Vidach, in “Hedera” by Loredana Calabrese and in the same period she joined taking part in the company’s productions including: “Skin” with the choreography by Michele Pogliani and Regina Van Berkel, “Hodighítria” in collaboration with Daniele Cipriani Entertainment. She is currently involved in “Camera Obscura” by Michele Pogliani, a new project of the company and “Relative Calm” in collaboration with Robert Wilson, Lucinda Childs and Change Performing Arts.⁠

Mario trained in the dance school of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and then at the Balletto di Toscana in Florence where he won a scholarship and joined the Junior BDT company, he also worked as an assistant with some of the school’s classical technique teachers.⁠
Solo dancer for over 10 years in various companies in Germany including: Harztheater Halberstadt, Landestheater Flensburg, Landestheater Detmold.⁠
Third place with his creation “Why?” at the “Internationaler Choreografie-Wettbewerb 2024 in Germany Currently guest choreographer at the Landestheater Detmold with his own production “Samba! Brasilien in Licht und Schatten” and guest teacher of classical technique and contemporary dance in Italy and abroad.⁠

María Ivette González Rodríguez graduated from the National School of Arts in 1978 as Ballet dancer and teacher. Afterwards, she joined the�Camaguey Ballet under the direction of Fernando Alonso during four years where she reached the Soloist Category. She entered The Cuban National Ballet in 1982 under the direction of the Cuban prima ballerina assoluta and choreographer Alicia Alonso. Her training was completed by the Ballet Masters: Fernando Alonso, Alicia Alonso, Josefina�Méndez, Mirtha Plá, Loipa Araújo, Aurora Bosch and José Pares.

Quest’anno il festival verrà aperto da una masterclass imperdibile di danza classica e repertorio tenuta da Daniil Simkin ()

Daniil è nato a Novosibirsk, in Russia, nel 1987. All’età di nove anni, Daniil ha iniziato ad allenarsi quotidianamente con sua madre. In questi anni di allenamento, ha vinto numerosi importanti premi di balletto, tra cui la medaglia d’oro al Jackson IBC nel 2006 e il Grand Prix all’Helsinki IBC nel 2005.⁠
Dopo il diploma di scuola superiore accademica, Daniil è entrato a far parte del Vienna State Opera Ballet come demi-solista nel 2006 e ha anche iniziato la sua carriera come artista ospite in tutto il mondo.⁠
Nel 2008, è entrato a far parte dell’American Ballet Theatre come solista ed è stato successivamente promosso a ballerino principale nel 2012. A partire dalla stagione 2018-2019, Daniil è entrato a far parte dello Staatsballett Berlin come ballerino principale e ha mantenuto la sua posizione all’ABT, esibendosi con entrambe le compagnie ogni volta che il suo programma glielo consente.

🇬🇧This year the festival will open with a unique masterclass in Ballet and Repertoire held by Daniil Simkin ()

Daniil was born in Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1987. At the age of nine, Daniil began daily ballet training with his mother. In these training years, he won a number of important ballet awards, including Gold Medal at the Jackson IBC in 2006 and the Grand Prix at the Helsinki IBC in 2005.
After graduating academic high school, Daniil joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet as a demi-soloist in 2006 and also began his career as a guest performer around the world.
In 2008, he joined American Ballet Theatre as a soloist and was subsequently promoted to principal dancer in 2012. Beginning with the 2018-2019 season Daniil joined Staatsballett Berlin as a principal and maintained his position at ABT, performing with both companies as often as his schedule allows.
