Dalla fine dell’Ottocento fino allo scoppio della Prima Guerra mondiale l’albergo che oggi ospita l’auditorium è stato punto d’incontro dell’aristocrazia europea, di musicisti e scrittori famosi. Ogni anno nel mese di settembre qui si danno appuntamento i protagonisti della musica di oggi e rinomati artisti internazionali. Accanto all’“orchestra in residence“, la Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, si esib
iscono in concerto orchestre di fama internazionale in grado di attrarre sempre un pubblico numeroso. All’insegna del connubio tra musica classica e cross over l’Alto Adige Festival vuole consolidare la sua tradizione festivaliera. Dobbiaco e l’Alta Pusteria con la loro natura mozzafiato e l’ambiente raffinato del Grand Hotel sono sotto i riflettori del mondo musicale e turistico. Seit 2010 finden die Festspiele Südtirol in Toblach, an der Schnittstelle zweier Kulturen, im exklusiven Rahmen des Grand Hotel statt. Hier gaben sich von Ende des 19 Jahrhunderts bis zum Ausbruch des 1. Weltkrieges die europäische Aristokratie, berühmte Schriftsteller und Musiker ein Stelldichein. Alle Jahre wieder im Monat September treffen sich hier Protagonisten der heutigen Musikszene und bedeutende internationale Künstler. Neben dem Haydn-Orchester von Bozen und Trient als „orchestra in residence“ treten namhafte Orchester auf, die dem Grand Hotel einen Festivalcharakter verleihen, der seinesgleichen sucht. Klassische Musik und Cross-Over zeichnen die Festspiele Südtirol aus, die ganz im Zeichen des Aufbaus zu einer Festival-Tradition stehen. Durch publikumswirksame und exzellente Konzerte sollen Toblach und das Hochpustertal mit all seiner Strahlkraft der Natur und dem Charme des Grand Hotels ins Rampenlicht der musikalischen und touristischen Szene gesetzt werden. Since 2010 the Grand Hotel Toblach has been hosting the Festspiele Südtirol/Alto Adige Festival. Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of World War 1 the hotel was the favourite destination of the European aristocracy, famous musicians and poets. Every year in September the “orchestra in residence”, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, performs along with a great number of artists from South Tyrol and Italy and of course with international stars. International orchestras and the blend of classical music and cross over attract a numerous international audience. The South Tyrol Festival, at the foot of the Dolomites, seeks to achieve a harmonious synthesis, encompassing the rich tonal variety of the music, the radiant beauty of nature in autumn and the charm of the Cultural Centre Grand Hotel Toblach.
