Teresa Trevisan, nata a Palmanova, si é laureata con lode e speciale menzione al Conservatorio “Giuseppe Tartini” di Trieste, sotto la guida di Luciano Gante. Ha successivamente proseguito il perfezionamento all’Ecole Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot” di Parigi con Aquiles Delle Vigne, di cui é diventata assistente per alcuni anni. Tra le figure che hanno esercitato una profonda influenza sulla sua formazione artistica e pedagogica c’è inoltre Maria Puxeddu, sua prima insegnante.
Teresa Trevisan é stata premiata in vari concorsi nazionali e internazionali e si è esibita in numerose e importanti sedi concertistiche in Italia, Europa e Stati Uniti.
Il suo profondo interesse per la Musica da Camera l’ha portata a frequentare i seminari dell’International Menhuin Academy di Gstaad e dell’International Academy del Trio di Trieste a Duino. Si é dedicata in particolare alla formazione del duo pianistico, in un primo tempo con il fratello Filippo e successivamente con Flavio Zaccaria, con il fine di scoprire repertori meno noti quali quelli di Reger (Web Concert Hall honorary mention nel 2006) e Busoni, nel 150° anniversario della nascita (2016).
Ha pubblicato per Velut Luna l’opera omnia di Rachmaninoff, i Concerti brandeburghesi di Bach e un successivo CD dedicato a Reger. Più recentemente Limen Music ha pubblicato un DVD dedicato all’opera omnia di Busoni per due pianoforti intitolato “In search of roots”. Sono stati inoltre incisi e saranno prossimamente pubblicati per la stessa casa editrice due ulteriori DVD, dedicati rispettivamente a Reger e Rachmaninoff-Bartok.
Teresa Trevisan é attualmente docente di pianoforte al Conservatorio “Giuseppe Tartini” di Trieste, in qualità di vincitrice del concorso ministeriale. E’ frequentemente invitata quale membro di giuria e docente di masterclasses in Università e Accademie in Italia e all’estero (Albania, Austria, Belgio Croazia, Finlandia, Francia, Gran Bretagna, Irlanda, Lituania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Spagna, Turchia). Molti dei suoi studenti hanno, nel corso degli anni, ricevuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti a livello nazionale e internazionale.
E’ stata per alcuni anni direttore artistico dell’ International Piano Competition “Filippo Trevisan” e dell’ International Music Competition “Città di Palmanova”. Attualmente ricopre lo stesso incarico, assieme a Ruben Dalibaltayan, presso il Radovlijca International Piano Competition, in Slovenia.
Teresa Trevisan, born in Palmanova, graduated with honors and special mention at the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste, under the guidance of Luciano Gante. She subsequently continued her studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot” in Paris with Aquiles Delle Vigne, of whom she became assistant for several years. Among the figures who have had a profound influence on her artistic and pedagogical education is also Maria Puxeddu, her first teacher.
Teresa Trevisan has been awarded in various national and international competitions and has performed in numerous and important concert venues in Italy, Europe and the United States.
Her deep interest in Chamber Music led her to attend the seminars of the International Menhuin Academy in Gstaad and the International Academy of the Trio di Trieste in Duino. She has devoted herself in particular to the formation of the piano duo, initially with her brother Filippo and subsequently with Flavio Zaccaria, with the aim of discovering lesser-known repertoires such as those of Reger (Web Concert Hall honorary mention in 2006) and Busoni, on the 150th anniversary of his birth (2016).
She has published Rachmaninoff’s complete works, Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos and a subsequent CD dedicated to Reger for Velut Luna. More recently Limen Music has published a DVD dedicated to Busoni’s complete works for two pianos entitled “In search of roots”. Two further DVDs have also been recorded and will soon be published by the same publishing house, dedicated respectively to Reger and Rachmaninoff-Bartok.
Teresa Trevisan is currently a piano teacher at the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste, as the winner of the ministerial competition. She is frequently invited as a member of the jury and teacher of masterclasses in Universities and Academies in Italy and abroad (Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey). Many of her students have, over the years, received prestigious awards at national and international level.
She was for some years the artistic director of the International Piano Competition “Filippo Trevisan” and of the International Music Competition “Città di Palmanova”. She currently holds the same position, together with Ruben Dalibaltayan, at the Radovlijca International Piano Competition, in Slovenia.
