A happy coincidence of the : being in New York just in time to visit the wonderful Balbusso Twins exhibition at the Society of Illustrators.

After debuting at , the exhibition is now welcoming visitors in New York, celebrating the artistry that has made the Italian artistic duo Anna and Elena Balbusso, also known as the Balbusso Twins, internationally renowned.

From Bologna to New York: here’s a look back at the exhibition’s first stop at the BBPlus Designers Studio.

The exhibition remains open at the Society of Illustrators until 11 July.

This year’s Jackets Off! exhibition celebrates Agatha Christie, marking 50 years since the passing of the Queen of Crime.

50 PINTÉR X 50 CHRISTIE is a visual journey through over three decades of work by illustrator Ferenc Pintér, whose iconic covers helped define the identity of Christie’s editions for Mondadori.

More than an exhibition, it’s a deep dive into the dialogue between storytelling, illustration and publishing history.

Day 1 at BolognaBookPlus ✨

A full immersion into the world of publishing from global illustration trends with the Society of Illustrators, to a deep dive into the Italian book market with AIE, all the way to the data behind bestsellers with NielsenIQ.

What stood out most? The conversations. Especially the one around self-publishing and its place within the traditional supply chain, full of potential if approached the right way.

So many perspectives, so many questions, and a lot to take home.

Two souls, one vision 🎨

At the upcoming edition of BolognaBookPlus, the Italian artistic duo Anna and Elena Balbusso, also known as the Balbusso Twins, take centre stage with a preview of “Illustrating with Two Souls”, an exhibition curated by the Society Of Illustrators in collaboration with Pentagram.

Celebrating 25 years of their career, the project offers a journey through illustration, art and design, exploring the dialogue between their pictorial and graphic languages.

The exhibition will debut in New York shortly after the fair, but you can meet the artists in Bologna, where they will lead a masterclass dedicated to their work (14 April, 1.45–2.30pm, Designer Studio).
