Kalari workshop - 4:00 pm

In the 1 hour Kalaripayattu (Self Defense) workshop, we attempt to introduce the ancient
practice of Kalaripayattu to the audience and also teach them basic self defence movements so
that they take back something useful from the session.

The program outline is as follows:

5 min : Introduction to Kalaripayattu and Safety considerations
10 min : Warmup
30 min : Basics of Kalaripayattu movements and Self Defense training
15 min : Short Demonstration of Kalaripayattu

Pietro Visibelli / hindustani music

his musical career studying piano and musical theory in Italy, by the Public Music School R. Franci in Siena (now Conservatory). Then, he began studying sitār and Hindustani classical music with maestro Suman Bhattacharya in Kolkata, performing mainly as a soloist, accompanied by tabla and tampura, or as part of ethnic music projects.
He graduated in Indian Music (sitār) from the Arrigo Pedrollo Conservatory in Vicenza, under the guidance of Guido Schiraldi. Since 2015, he has been part of the Kalyāṇ Ṭhāṭ trio; he also plays during Bharatanatyam Indian dance performances.
In 2025, Pietro and Ylenia Motta, an Italian vegan chef, founded the Raga&Spices duo, an event planning project for any private or public special celebration.
Raga&Spices is a perfect combination of Hindustani classical music and plant based food, which has had already an enthusiastic response from the audience when touring several times in Italy and Malta.

Born in the southern part of India,
Sujeesh's journey began in the nurturing
care of his grandparents. Growing up in a
simple and grounded environment, he
absorbed timeless values of discipline,
humility, and connection to nature. His
grandfather, a farmer, became his first role
model teaching him life's rhythms through
early mornings in the fields.

Spiritual Roots

From childhood, Sujeesh was introduced to
the essence of Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga,
unknowingly laying the foundation for the
spiritual path he would one day embrace.
These early experiences shaped his
outlook on life and planted the seeds of
self-inquiry and devotion.
