On the upstairs of sessions, The Fine Arts Club, IIT(BHU) held up its legacy and scaled great heights in the academic session 2020-21. The PoRs of the club gave their invaluable contribution in keeping the club and its members productive and engaged throughout the year. However, these trying times didn't stop the club and its members from continuing the club's tradition of becoming better with every passing year. The scale of the events and workshops speak for themselves.
The club organised several wonderful events, viz., Kalakriti' 20(the online art competition), Utsav(Intra-College Creativity Competition), Fresher's Orientation, Aagman, and Chitrakala- an online event organised under Cultural Week. These events witnessed participation in great numbers, with participants being from various corners of the country. Several workshops such as 'the Concept of Designing',Human Anatomy, and Quilling were conducted.Eminent artist Mr Sadashiv Sawant Sir made a live Q&A session on Hyperrealism on the FAC FB page. During Chitrakala, skilful artists such as Mr Deepak Sharma, Miss Mona Biswarupa, and Mr Niru delivered workshops on Watercolour Painting, Coffee Painting, and Faux Calligraphy. All these events were a huge success and presented the club members with great learning opportunities.
The club members actively participated in several internal as well as external competitions, bringing accolades to the club and the council; though the list is long, some significant achievements are listed below:
