Uttarpara Folk Festival is here to provide the platform where the all folk lovers can enjoy the culture’s true form embodied in its folk music along with the different folk artist all over the world. It is also to be notified, that it is not only based on folk music , we are working with folk industry of Bengal. We are searching the antique folk culture of Bengal as well as india, which are alread

y fade by the western culture. It is in many forms and shape , but vision of this culture to develop the social value of people. In our folk culture lot of wings are there to show people like –
1) Folk Music --- The Baul tradition is a unique heritage of Bengali folk music, which has also been influenced by regional music traditions. Other folk music forms include Kabigaan, Gombhira, Bhawaiya, kirtans, and Gajan festival music. Folk music in West Bengal is often accompanied by the ektara, a one-stringed instrument.
2) Folk Dance --- We have more than 35 nos Folk dance in Bengal . There are many dance forms like Brita, Gambhira, Chhau, etc.
3) Folk Art --- Dokra is unique folk art of West Bengal. Metal casting dokra mask is created various contemporary sculptures with this art form. From embroidery to sculpture, sketching to metal crafts, the art and craft culture of Bengal has a unique rustic and mystic charm about it. The most celebrated form of embroidery, Kantha is used on Saris, Dhotis, and Kurtas. So over our mission is to explore the entire folk culture in front of the people. In this regard , we have also seen that lots of talents are suffering for financial support to complete their artistic work. We are also trying to support them though this festival. We are requesting you to expand your hand and give us your best possible financial support for them. So we can distribute within them in a noble manner. We are also expecting for our viewer and well-wishers to share this message for the development of Folk industry of West Bengal.

আমরা সবাই জানি যে রাধারমণ দত্তই হলেন সিলেটের ঐতিহ্যবাহী ধামাইল গানের জনক।

কিন্তু তাঁর জন্ম তারিখ নিয়ে আজও মতান্তর আছে।

গত বছর থেকে তাঁর জন্ম মাসের ২৬ তারিখ "ধামাইল দিবস" হিসাবে পালিত হচ্ছে। এই ধামাইল দিবসে তাঁকে জানাই শ্রদ্ধা ও প্রণাম। 🙏
