DPS Udhampur Organizes GK Inter-House Quiz Competition for Class V

Udhampur, J&K: Delhi Public School Udhampur successfully organized a GK Inter-House Quiz Competition for the students of Class V based on the themes “World No To***co Day” and “National Technology Day.” The competition aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of to***co while highlighting the importance of science and technology in our daily lives.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four houses — Rig Veda, Sam Veda, Atharva Veda, and Yajur Veda. The young learners showcased remarkable curiosity, confidence, teamwork, quick thinking, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. The event was conducted under the able guidance of the Science Teachers.

Among all the participating houses, Yajur Veda emerged victorious by securing the highest score. The winning participants were Hanikett Singh (5A), Mahika Magotra (5B), Manvik Sharma (5C), Samarth Basotra (5D), Hami Rather (5E), and Avyukt Sharma (5F).

The competition provided students with a platform to enhance their general knowledge, develop awareness about important social and scientific issues, and strengthen their collaborative learning skills. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and active participation displayed by all the houses during the event.

Worthy MD of the School, Mr. Vivek Gupta Sir, along with the Dynamic Director Academics, Ms. Sucheta Gupta Ma’am, congratulated the young participants and appreciated their confidence, knowledge, and spirited participation.

Propitious Principal of the School, Dr. Kunal Anand Sir, also applauded the efforts of all the participants and winners, stating that such competitions help students broaden their knowledge, improve critical thinking skills, and build confidence from an early age.

Proud Moment for DPS Udhampur

Delhi Public School, Udhampur proudly celebrates yet another milestone as the meritorious students of Classes X and XII were honoured by Worthy Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Mr. Minga Sherpa ,IAS in an event organised by Amar Ujala in Rivayat today in recognition of their outstanding performance in the Board Examinations.

Today, the students of *Class KG-3B*, under the guidance of *Ms. Priya Gupta*, enjoyed a fun outdoor activity focused on *psychomotor development*.

With just a hula hoop, teamwork, and our exciting _“Ball with hula hoop Challenge”_, our little champions worked on *focus, balance, and coordination* through healthy competition!

🌳✨ A poster-making activity based on the chapter Flames in the Forest was conducted for the students of Classes 7th C, 7th E, and 7th F under the guidance of Tr. Sukanya Sharma 👩‍🏫. Students creatively expressed the emotions of forests through beautiful posters highlighting themes like 🌲 deforestation, 🔥 forest fires, 🐾 wildlife protection, 🌍 pollution, and the importance of saving trees 🌱. They also added 5–6 meaningful facts and slogans to spread awareness about environmental conservation 💚. The activity aimed to develop creativity 🎨, environmental awareness 🌿, and a sense of responsibility towards nature among students. A poster making activity was successfully conducted by Mrs. Suwati Suwal, in which students created posters depicting the emotions of the forest — such as peace, life, hope, and healing — along with 4–5 meaningful facts about forests covering topics like biodiversity, oxygen production, and the impact of deforestation. The activity encouraged creativity, environmental awareness, and research skills among students. Students actively participated and presented thoughtful, visually appealing posters. Overall, the activity was a great success and helped students develop a deeper connection with nature.

ऐसा है जापान' पाठ के अंतर्गत कक्षा सातवीं (A, B, C, D, E and F) में एक अत्यंत रोचक और रचनात्मक गतिविधि का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने जापान की संस्कृति को बेहद करीब से जाना। इस दौरान बच्चों ने जापानी कागज़ कला (ओरिगामी) का प्रदर्शन करते हुए रंग-बिरंगे पारंपरिक पंखे बनाए, वहीं छात्राओं ने जापान की प्रसिद्ध पोशाक 'किमोनो' पहनकर वहाँ के जनजीवन को जीवंत रूप में प्रस्तुत किया। स्मार्ट बोर्ड और इस कलात्मक गतिविधि के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने जापान की संस्कृति, अनुशासन और जीवनशैली को व्यावहारिक रूप से बहुत ही सरल और प्रभावशाली ढंग से समझा।

DPS Udhampur Continues TB Awareness Drive with Poster Making Activity under 100 Days of TB Free Campaign
As part of the 100 Days of TB Free Campaign, Delhi Public School Udhampur conducted a Poster Making Activity on Day 2 of the awareness week for students of Classes VI to VIII. The activity aimed at educating and sensitizing students about Tuberculosis (TB), its causes, consequences, prevention and control measures.
Students enthusiastically participated and expressed their understanding through creative and meaningful posters. Using vibrant colours, brushes and artistic imagination, they conveyed impactful messages promoting awareness about TB and the importance of early diagnosis, hygiene, proper treatment and community responsibility in controlling the disease.
The activity provided young learners an opportunity to communicate important health messages through art while developing awareness and empathy towards public health concerns. Students also highlighted various mitigation measures and preventive practices that can contribute towards building a healthier and TB-free society.
