Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a government grant of Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand to public Durga Puja committees across the state this year. Exactly 12 days before Durga Puja, the cheques of financial grants given by the state government are being handed over to the Durga Puja committees. These cheques are being given to the Durga Puja committees through the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate. Which was started on Friday by Police Commissioner Sunil Kumar. Through a ceremony organized at Ravindra Bhavan, it was started by providing a cheque of Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand to some Puja committees of his area. Under this, on Sunday, Raniganj police station also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand financial grant given by the state government to the Puja committees amid a ceremony. On this day, this program was started in the Sitaram Ji Bhavan premises located in Raniganj city. On this occasion, cheques for financial aid were handed over to the puja committees by MLA Tapas Banerjee, Zila Sabhadhipati Vishwanath Bauri, DC Dhruv Das, Borough Chairman Muzammil Hussain Shahzada, Councilor Rupesh Yadav, Councilor Neha Saav, Dr. S Maji and other guests present there. Inspector-in-charge of Raniganj police station Vikas Dutt said that cheques for financial aid were handed over to 80 puja committees of Raniganj police station area. These include puja committees of Punjabi Mod police station area, Nimcha police station area, Ballabhpur police station area.
