“Showdown 2016”- is an unconventional competition organized by Anibrain School of Media Design, Pune, for encouraging talent in the growing industry of animation, Visual effects & Gaming. In this online competition participants from different categories will come together and compete to create their best in the themes provided. In the past years we have organised such several events. t has off late shown keen interest in promoting the animation, VFX, comics and gaming (AVCG) industry of the country. The National Center of Excellence for Gaming, Animation & Visual Arts, planned by government has a potential to generate jobs while rejuvenating traditional crafts that have excited us for ages. Over the years, We at Anibrain School of Media Design have been taking efforts to identify the best talent in AVCG industry and train them to scale up their skills according to the industry standards. Whether your interest is in Animation, Visual Effects for movies, or tools to create fabulous new apps, games, videos or start a career in Digital Marketing, Anibrain School of Media Design has a wide range of courses available to fit your needs, and help you embark on a fabulous career. Ghost Rider, Silent Hill, Chronicles, Cats and Dogs John Woo’s Red Cliff and Resident Evil are just some names in a long list of Hollywood Films where Anibrain’s wizardry has been acknowledged and appreciated. The participants will be provided themes,based on which they have to produce a game concept.The themes will be alloted as per the categories – a) Students b) professionals. Themes will be announced on the website on 10th February 2016.Partcipants will have to submit their concept in PPT format by 20th February 2016. Registrationa are open. VFX Showdown – 2016
The participants will be provided a video footage,based on which they have to produce a best visual effect shot for the given footage.The footage will be alloted as per the categories – a) Students b) professionals.
