We’re pleased to welcome Pranay Kotasthane, Deputy Director and Chair of the High Tech Geopolitics Programme at Takshashila Institution, to PPPF 2026.

An expert in technology, geopolitics and public policy, he co-writes Anticipating the Unintended, a widely read newsletter on policy ideas and frameworks, and co-hosts Puliyabaazi, a popular Hindi Urdu podcast on politics, policy and technology.

He is the co-author of ‘Missing in Action: Why Should You Care About Public Policy’, ‘When the Chips Are Down’ and ‘We the Citizens’, and has co-edited ‘India’s Marathon: Reshaping the Post Pandemic World Order’. Before moving into policy, Pranay worked on integrated circuit design for mobile processors at Fortune 500 companies.

With extensive international experience across Europe, Asia and Australasia, Ravin’s work spans cryogenics, defence, energy transition and traffic infrastructure. He currently leads businesses operating across India and Australia, focusing on carbon free mobility, clean energy and road safety solutions.

Ravin serves on the boards of Ador Powertron and Quench Chargers in India, and Acusensus Ltd and Mack Valves in Australia. He is also Chair of the Indo Australian Chamber of Commerce for West India, Vice President of the Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and co-chair of the India Infrastructure Industry CEO panel.

As the host of the Energizing India podcast and a member of an early-stage investment committee focused on energy transition startups, Ravin brings a global, practitioner-led perspective on infrastructure, energy and technology.

He is widely respected for his deep understanding of Chinese politics, diplomacy and India’s strategic engagement with the world.

An accomplished author, his books Tiananmen Square The Making of a Protest and The Long Game How the Chinese Negotiate with India offer critical insights into China’s political dynamics and India China relations.
