This piece is a total of seven minutes long. And as of today, is 10 years old.

Posting this has gotten me excited about practicing this piece again. There are some lovely variations in it that it would be fun to revisit.

Should I try to play it again? Maybe then do a 'then vs now' reel?

Tension is not only a physical problem. It is an audible one. A tense hand can make the tone harder, the rhythms uneven and the phrase restless. This is why technical issue should not be separated from listening. The sound tells us what the body is doing.

The DNA of your sound carries the signature markers of your technique and tension. Paying close attention to tension will automatically improve your technique and sound.
