वासोटा किल्ल्याचा ट्रेक हा महाराष्ट्रातील सातारा जिल्ह्यातील लोकप्रिय जंगल ट्रेक आहे. हा ट्रेक साहस आणि निसर्गप्रेमींमध्ये खूप प्रसिद्ध आहे. वासोटा किल्ला “व्याघ्रगड” या नावानेही ओळखला जातो कारण तो सह्याद्री पर्वताच्या घनदाट जंगलांमध्ये वसलेला आहे.

# # # वासोटा ट्रेकची माहिती:

1. **स्थान**: वासोटा किल्ला, कास पठाराजवळ, सातारा जिल्हा, महाराष्ट्र.

2. **ट्रेकची श्रेणी**: मध्यम (Moderate) ते अवघड (Difficult) श्रेणी. जंगलातील वाटा असल्याने थोडी अधिक मेहनत लागते.

3. **ट्रेकची लांबी**: अंदाजे 5-6 तास (एकूण ये-जा) ट्रेक.

4. **सुरुवात करण्याचे ठिकाण**: बामणोली गाव. बामणोली गावातून शिवसागर तलावातून बोटीने वासोट्याच्या जंगलात पोहोचता येते.

5. **विशेषता**:
- वासोटा किल्ला जंगलांच्या मध्यभागी असल्यामुळे तुम्हाला अनेक प्रकारचे वन्यजीव, पक्षी आणि वनस्पती पहायला मिळतात.
- किल्ल्याच्या शिखरावरून कस plateau आणि शिवसागर तलावाचे सुंदर दृश्य दिसते.

6. **किल्ल्याचा इतिहास**: हा किल्ला छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या काळात अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा होता. याची रचना खूपच चपळाईने केली आहे आणि तो दुर्गम स्थानावर आहे.

7. **सुविधा**: वासोटा किल्ला हे पर्यावरण संवेदनशील क्षेत्र असल्यामुळे इथे रात्री राहण्याची परवानगी नाही. ट्रेक करून परत यावे लागते.

8. **परवाना**: वासोटा ट्रेक करण्यासाठी वन विभागाकडून परवाना घ्यावा लागतो. पर्यटकांनी निसर्गाचे संरक्षण करणे गरजेचे आहे.

# # # ट्रेकसाठी काही आवश्यक सूचना:
- **पाण्याची बाटली**, **खाण्यासाठी हलका नाश्ता** आणि **फर्स्ट एड किट** घेऊन जाणे आवश्यक आहे.
- **ट्रेकिंग शूज** घालणे योग्य ठरेल कारण जंगलातील मार्ग कधी कधी घसरडा असतो.
- हिवाळ्यात ट्रेक करणे उत्तम कारण त्यावेळी हवामान खूप छान असते.

09.00 am : Reach center of vasota fort by boat and start one of the most beautiful and scenic trek towards vasota. Energy drinks will be provided.
11.30 am : Reach top of vasota fort. Visit Babukada cliff(sahyadri’s second highest cliff)
12.00 pm : Have packed lunch . Explore the fort for sometime.
01.00 pm : Start decending trek.
03.00 pm : Reach base of the fort and start return journet via boat for 1 and ½ Hour.
04.30 pm : Reach camping site and have late local lunch after a breathtaking trek. Relax for sometime.
06.00 pm : Start return journey to pune.

Kaas plateau is a plateau located near Satara. It is situated in high hill plateaus and grasslands turns into a 'valley of flowers' during monsoon season, particularly from September to early October. Kaas Plateau has more than 150 types of flowers, shrubs and grasses. The orchids bloom here for a period of 3–4 weeks during this season. Kaas plateau is a World Natural Heritage site. To control possible damage by tourists, the number of visitors to the plateau has been restricted to 3,000 per day In September, some of the most common flowering plants are Eriocaulon manoharanii, Pogostemon deccanensis, Senecio grahamii, Impatiens oppositifolia and Dipcadi montanum.
