Had a truly meaningful courtesy meeting today between the Hon’ble Sports Minister of Bihar, Ms.Shreyasi Singh and someswar Rao . chavan the Centre In-Charge, Sports Authority of India (SAI) Patna,

We discussed various SAI initiatives in Bihar, and she was genuinely impressed with the ongoing efforts. Her positive response and readiness to support SAI’s mission in Bihar will surely strengthen the sporting ecosystem of the state.

Champion in the City!

Manjeet Singh Rathore Shines at National Stage

Manjeet Singh Rathore, a dedicated trainee of SAI STC Patna, has brought immense pride to the centre by winning the Gold Medal in the Over 78 kg Weight Category at the 69th SGFI National Taekwondo Championship 2025, held in Jammu & Kashmir from 8th to 13th November 2025.

Coach Someswar Rao informed that Manjeet displayed extraordinary determination and skill throughout the championship. He secured victories over strong opponents from Chandigarh, Karnataka, Haryana, and CBSE to reach the finals. In the final, he showcased exceptional technique and knocked out the Jammu & Kashmir player to clinch the Gold Medal.

On his arrival at SAI STC Patna, all trainees, coaches, and staff welcomed him with great pride. Wushu coaches Vijender Singh and Sumit Kumar, along with office staff Manish Jaiswal, Kumar Anranjan, and Vivekananda Dutta, congratulated Manjeet Singh Rathore and extended their best wishes for his bright future.

His achievement is a reflection of his sincere dedication, discipline, and hard work, inspiring many young athletes of the region.

Fit India Yoga Mahotsav: A Grand Initiative for Health and Fitness in Patna

Patna, February 20, 2025: The Sports Authority of India, Patna and the Bihar Yoga Association are jointly organizing the "Fit India Yoga Mahotsav" under the Fit India Movement. This grand event will take place on February 23, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at JP Setu, Marine Drive, Patna.

Successful Completion of 'Fit India Cycling Tuesdays' Event at Patna

Patna, December 17: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, Patna, successfully organized a cycling event as part of the nationwide launch of the 'Fit India Cycling Tuesdays' initiative.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Nutan Kumari bronze medalist at the World Wushu Championship Guests of honor included Manjeet Singh Rathod, Junior World Championship 2024 player participant. Shri Someswar Rao Chavan, Centre In-Charge of the Sports Authority of India, Patna, also attended the event and played a key role in its organization.

The 'Fit India Cycling Tuesdays' initiative, which was launched by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi earlier today, aims to promote cycling as a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle choice.
