CineYouth is one of very few college level film festivals in the India devoted to highlighting and showcasing films made by young filmmakers. With an emphasis on educati
on as well as screenings of officially selected films, CineYouth will provide participants with a "semester of film school in two days." with submissions from around the country, from individuals, college age students and universities. Official selections will be chosen by the Cine Youth Jury
The Cine Youth aims to achieve the following objectives:
• To provide a platform for students interested in Film Making and related fields to work together.
• It will be a great opportunity for the participants to learn the craft of film making from the highly acclaimed professionals. The film fest has been designed for all the film enthusiasts - from filmmakers to short story writers, enrolled in any UG or PG level courses,in any college across India. The fest will include short movie making competitions, seminars, workshops and other digital media. Also we are holding a competition called Model United Nations, where the youth can debate on problems and issues having global context and suggest solutions for them. Thapar Movie Club launches this annual competition to not only discover the next great filmmakers from across India, but to open Bollywood career access doors for the winners and truly enable them to move forward which is what every filmmaker hopes for when they win a competition.
