100 seats. 13 crafts. One shot at IFFI.

Creative Minds of Tomorrow returns for its sixth edition at the 57th International Film Festival of India - a talent camp built for the next generation of Indian cinema. This year, the program opens up across 13 disciplines: direction, scriptwriting, editing and subtitling, cinematography, animation and VFX, AR/VR, music composition, playback singing, sound recording, acting, art direction, voice-over and dubbing, hair and makeup, and costume design. Everything that holds a film together, in front of the camera and far behind it.

Selected candidates get curated masterclasses with industry veterans, a 48-hour filmmaking challenge to write, shoot and cut something real under pressure, and a Talent Camp built to put them in the same room as the people already making Indian cinema what it is.

A hundred seats. Thirteen ways in. One festival where it all comes together.

“By all logic, I shouldn’t have been a star. I broke all the rules.”

At the 56th IFFI Fireside Chat, The Narrative Architect of Social Transformation, Aamir Khan looked back at a career shaped by choices that often seemed impractical on paper. Lagaan was considered a risky proposition. Dil Chahta Hai was unlike the Hindi films of its time. Even when action films were seen as a fading trend, he chose to make Ghajini.
What connects these choices is not a formula for success. It is the refusal to make the same film twice.

The 57th IFFI will once again bring together filmmakers working across languages, forms, genres and cinematic traditions. Aamir Khan offers a useful reminder of what can happen when a filmmaker is willing to trust a story before knowing whether the world is ready for it.
