Today (4th September 2025), on the occasion of National Nutrition Week, a Nutrition Awareness Programme was conducted for the students of North Lakhimpur Town High School organized by the department of Community Science, North Lakhimpur University in collaboration with the department of Community Science, Lakhimpur Girls' College. A short drama was performed by the students on this year theme " Eat right for better life" and nutritional status was also assessed among students to create awareness about their health and dietary practices.

Today (On 2nd September, 2025), a free "Health Camp for Haemoglobin and Thyroid Tests" was organized jointly by the department of Community Science and the department of Geography, Lakhimpur Girls' College on the occasion of National Nutrition Week (1st-7th September). Along with the Haemoglobin and Thyroid tests, nutritional status of the students and faculty members was also assessed.

Undergraduate 5th Semester (FYUGP) students of department of Community Science, Lakhimpur Girls' College successfully completed their 120 hours (From 1st July to 31st July, 2025) Internship Programme in "Sakhi: One Stop Centre" and "District Hub for Women" under the Department of Women and Child Development, Office of District Social Welfare, Lakhimpur, Assam. We are truly grateful to District Social Welfare Office Lakhimpur for giving such a great opportunity for our students to work alongside them.
