BAJA SAEINDIA HARNESS RULE REQUIREMENT
As per the official BAJA SAEINDIA Rulebook:
SFI 16.1 LATCH AND LINK, 5 POINT HARNESS

“ALL DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEMS SHALL MEET EITHER SFI SPECIFICATION 16.5 / 16.1 OR FIA SPECIFICATION 8853/98.”

✔ Mandatory 5-point (or more) harness system
✔ Metal-to-metal quick release buckle required
✔ Shoulder & lap belts must be 3-inch wide
✔ Harness must carry VALID SFI tags
✔ Harness expiry date must remain valid till the LAST DAY of competition

This was the era of raw rallying.
No fancy electronics.
No driving aids.
No second chances.

Just a lightweight machine, massive commitment, insane speeds, flying gravel, blind jumps, and drivers with absolute balls of steel.

Every stage was unpredictable. Every crest could launch the car into the sky. And every landing demanded precision, courage, and trust in the machine.

These Group N Esteems were true pocket rockets — built for punishment, built for speed, and built to attack every inch of dirt flat out.

Rallying in those days was pure madness, pure adrenaline, and pure passion.
