GREENAIDERS focuses on creating unique experience, community development activities & projects to alleviate the damage caused to nature by us. We have been pioneers with several first to our credit. We were the first to conduct a timed run at Asia’s smallest eco-sensitive hill station of Matheran in 2012 to celebrate International Mountains Day. We were also the first to organise the Mangrove Run
at Malad backroad & later at Airoli Flamingo sanctuary & the Runners for Oceans at the Domestic Cruise Terminus of Mumbai Port Authority. Greenaiders have pioneered the concept of ‘Low Carbon Running’ ( LCR) since 2011. Running events leave a serious impact on the environment with huge amounts of trash generated in terms of plastic water bottles, banners, food boxes, water wastages etc
LCR is a conscious attempt to look into each and every aspect of marathon organisation and taking steps to mitigate its impact on the surroundings. It also entails educating the runners to adopt earth friendly practices so that we all, viz organisers, participants, vendors, licensing authorities & the public at large are together in our race to save the planet.
