The International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade is observed on March 25th each year. It is a day to honour and remember the millions of African men, women, and children subjected to slavery, exploitation, and oppression during the transatlantic slave trade. In addition, this day aims to raise awareness about the enduring impact of slavery on societies, economies, and cultures across the globe. Finally, the observance of this day is also an opportunity to acknowledge the resilience and resistance of enslaved people and to promote actions towards ending modern forms of slavery and promoting human rights for all!
