A-Sector Youth Welfare Association - ASYWA express profound grief and heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Late Smti. Yigam Nyori Riba, resident of A-Sector, Naharlagun, and beloved wife of Late Shri Tai Nyori, former Registrar and Controller of Examinations at Rajiv Gandhi University.

This is a moment of deep sorrow for the family, relatives, and well-wishers. ASYWA stands in solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time and prays for strength and comfort to help them overcome this immense loss.

May the Almighty grant eternal rest to the departed soul.

⚠️ 𝗛𝗜𝗧 & 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 — 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 ⚠️

This Scorpio (Registration No. AR 01 M 8468) recklessly hit and ran over our youth member Suraj Nandi, along with his wife and young son, last night near DY Arena, Model Village (Kangkar Nallah), Naharlagun.

Instead of helping the injured, the driver shamelessly shouted,
“TUM AAO TOH — TUM PICHE PICHE AAO!” and fled the scene without any sense of responsibility.

By the grace of God, Suraj and his wife escaped major injuries.
But their little son has sustained acute injuries on his head and body.

Agar kuch ho jata toh?
Uska responsibility kaun leta?
A single moment of reckless driving could have destroyed an entire family.

An FIR has been lodged at Naharlagun Police Station.
To the owner of this vehicle — surrender yourself immediately, otherwise the consequences will be severe. No one is above the law, and we will not allow such irresponsible behaviour to go unpunished.

We stand united with Suraj Nandi and his family.
Justice will be served.

Glimpses of A-Sector Family Picnic 2025

What a joyful and heart-warming day it was for our entire A-Sector community. This year’s Family Picnic became a grand success because of the love, support, and togetherness shown by our well-wishers, youth members, families, and Maiki parties. Your presence filled the event with laughter, unity, and beautiful memories that we will cherish for a long time.

We express our deepest gratitude to Shri Kipa Takum, Corporator Ward No. 18, Shri Taba Takia, former Councillor, Shri Techi Peko, esteemed entrepreneur, Smti. Gigi Rena Camdir, aspirant Corporator candidate from Ward No. 18, Shri Tarh Rari, aspirant Corporator candidate from Ward No. 17, and Shri Techi Begi, young entrepreneur, for gracing the occasion despite your busy schedules. Your presence truly uplifted the spirit of our celebration and made the day even more special.

We are excited to share that the A-Sector Youth Welfare Association - ASYWA has successfully completed its very first donation drive for the Missionaries of Charity - Mother Teresa Home in A-Sector, Naharlagun.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to donate a collection of clothes and groceries, providing much-needed support to the orphanage and its residents.

A heartfelt thank you to all the donors whose kindness has made this meaningful contribution possible. Your support is not just a donation, it is a lifeline that brings hope, warmth, and care to those in need.
