Our race director is now a NSCA CSCS.

Note from the race director -
"With a lot of gratitude and remembrance of all my mentors, teachers, students, friends, family and well wishers I have a some news to share.

I have come a long way coaching from the young age of 18 to making the cut in the gold standard CSCS credential at the age of 35. Couldn't have set a better self development goal before turning 36 this July.

I am now Mysuru city's first and only NSCA CSCS credential holder. I took the examination on the 16th of May, passing it in my first attempt with scores that reflect my knowledge and competence as a strength coach that I have learnt over the last 18 years of my life.

I also hold a Master of Physical Education, a gold medalist from the University of Mysore and I take pride that I hold this credential as a physical education professional. I hope this inspires many more like me who want to pursue or grow in their career as an exercise professional.

Catch them young! Start them young! 3K trail walk/run is now open. We suggest that the parent register along with their child. Last date to register 14th Feb. This 3K race is a non timed event, only fastest boy/girl and fastest dad/mom trophy is given and all the participants of this category will be getting their Mongoose Trail medal and breakfast.

Wash your hands frequently
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand rub if your hands are not visibly dirty.

Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub eliminates the virus if it is on your hands.

Practice respiratory hygiene
When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – discard tissue immediately into a closed bin and clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

Why? Covering your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing prevent the spread of germs and viruses. If you sneeze or cough into your hands, you may contaminate objects or people that you touch.

Maintain social distancing
Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and other people, particularly those who are coughing, sneezing and have a fever.

Why? When someone who is infected with a respiratory disease, like 2019-nCoV, coughs or sneezes they project small droplets containing the virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the virus.
