A glimpse into MF Husain’s iconic film Gaja Gamini (1999), featuring the background score composed & performed only with Tabla and Voice by yours truely.
This was one of my earliest experiments in Tabla storytelling — where rhythm and voice together carried the entire narrative. Honoured at the Cannes Film Festival, this work became a milestone in my journey, later inspiring creations like Ramayan on Tabla, Krishna ke Taal, and Shiv Shakti.

Inspired by his vision, I instituted the Padmashri M.T. Vyas Stree Shakti Award to honor and empower women in Indian music, dance, and social service, continuing his belief that education should nurture self-realization, creativity, and societal contribution. My foundation Anuradha Pal Cultural Foundation APCF continues this social work among others.
His work is captured in The Teacher and The Taught, edited by my mother Ila Pal and published by me, celebrating a vision that shapes generations.
