Proud to welcome one of India’s distinguished voices in Polymer Engineering as a Speaker at RACE: Recycling And Compounding Expo 2026.

Introducing Professor (Dr) D. D. Kale, Honorary Chancellor at Polymerupdate Academy and former Professor of Polymer Technology and Head of the Department of Polymer Engineering at the University of Mumbai’s UDCT (now ICT).

With over 40 years of teaching experience and a PhD from the University of Salford, UK, Prof. Kale has contributed extensively to polymer education, research and industry. His expertise spans Polymer Processing, Compounding, Rheology and Composites, while his research has also explored areas such as improving the properties of waste PET through polymer blending.

Beyond academia, he has advised plastics industries and contributed to important policy conversations as a member of a high-powered expert committee to the Government of Maharashtra on environmental issues and a committee constituted by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers to define single-use plastics. He has also served as a Visiting Professor in South Korea.

We are honoured to have his experience and perspective enrich the conversations at RACE 2026.
