Gratitude Post – When we were planning our 7th Mega Annual Day – The Gharana Edition - we didn’t realize that Planning a 4-day event for 300+ students over 12 sessions would be a seriously mammoth task. It took us 3-4 months of Planning and Strategizing. Training so many students was extremely difficult. Getting all of them to rehearse with the Orchestra was a challenge. Our orchestra team of Anil Jadhav Moni Dethe Omkar, Lavesh Sawardekar, Azad, Ashutosh and Sameer rehearsed with our students for 4 full days, and then performed with the same level or higher energy in all the 12 sessions. Kudos to them for being so patient and so co-operative. And then I had to cope up with my operation in May, which in turn did delay our training. And during Annual day, I had to confine myself to ingesting “Dolo” every four hours because of heavy temperature on Day 3 and Day 4. God only knows where I got the strength to conduct the Annual Day. The overall feedback from everyone was that the students have improved a lot from the previous year. This is a huge compliment and it proves that our training is heading in the right direction. This year’s Chief Guests were some of the best from the Industry, and we are most grateful to each and every Chief Guest - Darren Das Rajessh Iyer Anuradha Pal Mumbai Mumbai Shri Shankaranarayanan Veena Narayan Mani Charmi Satra ravi Ravi Iyer Mani R.S.. Narayan mama Ravi Chary Jayanti Gosher and the Mega Chief Guest Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam . Each and every Chief Guest voiced the same thoughts – Namo Music Academy is doing a wonderful job imparting Music education, and in so many disciplines and spanning an age group from 3 years to 75 years. And the Chief Guest on the Grand Finale was Padmashri Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam who was extremely happy with the performance of the Students, especially the Kavita Krishnamurti Medley which we had prepared. And the icing on the cake was a surprise visit by my Guru Padma Vibhushan Dr.L.Subramaniam. It was an extremely emotional moment for me and Rachana. We are surely blessed for these moments. We feel happy that we have excellent Music Teachers who are very talented and very co-operative and helped train everyone. We thank our Teachers Manisha Ji, Schubert, Pankaj Sharma Ji, Aarya, Lavesh, Prafulla, Shantanu. While all the Students did well, some students did much beyond expectations. Our experiment of Gharana Edition proved good since we did experimental crossover music. We are very proud of our students and the parents who have been supporting our academy for past so many years. Last, but not the least, without our Core Team members, we wouldn’t be able to conduct our Annual Day. A Huge Thanks to our Core team Members Shweta Vora Karishma, Dhhanvi, Leena, Mittal, Krrish, Kavish, Aarya and Lavesh, and special thanks to Siddhesh, Rupesh and Sangeetha. And what a wonderful partner I have in Rachna Kapasi .... training a 3 year old and making them sing songs is an extremely difficult job and she does this with so much ease. Without her, none of our Annual Days would be possible. A huge Thanks to the almighty Shiridi Sai Baba for always ensuring that our Annual Day gets executed smoothly without any problems. We are hoping that our next Annual Day will now be Bigger and better, and more challenging. Now till next Annual Day, it is going to be back to basics for all of us.
