The M.Sc. Bioinformatics Part II students from the Department of Bioinformatics, Guru Nanak Khalsa College, had the wonderful opportunity to visit the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS) on 31st July 2026 as part of the Open Day.
During the visit, our students explored the Bioinformatics Laboratory and gained valuable insights into organoid models, confocal microscopy, cancer cell biology, plant tissue culture, and several other advanced research areas. The interactive sessions provided an excellent platform to understand cutting-edge scientific techniques and ongoing research.
We sincerely thank the University of Mumbai and UM–DAE Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences for organizing this enriching visit and for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students. Such experiences inspire young researchers and strengthen their passion for scientific discovery.
