Grand Challenge Udupi is a social innovation challenge organized by the Udupi District Administration in collaboration with the Innovation Centre, Manipal University. Grand Challenge Udupi is intended to stimulate young minds to use their creativity, knowledge and skills in presenting innovative solutions to real-world problems. With many of our talented youth brimming with energy and dynamism, ta
king their inputs in solving some of the existing issues in the district, would be a great platform for creative expression. Grand Challenge Udupi is intended to be a platform to collect vibrant and out of the box ideas from young people. One of the unique features of this hackathon will be its intended outcome. Winning teams will get a chance to work with the District Administration in translating their ideas into reality. This will be an opportunity for teams to partake in nation building starting in their own town. It will also help our youth appreciate the complex decision making and implementation process. Seeing their ideas being implemented will be a good way to involve all citizens in future activities as well.
