Two months after the lights went out and the curtains came down, we’re still looking back at the madness that made the Mahindra Sanatkada Lucknow Festival what it is. What remains is the effort of several people working behind the scenes and the nostalgia that people come seeking.

The effortless spectacle the city sees each year is built on the persistence of a team that refuses to give up, each holding a fort of their own, stitching together something larger than themselves. Months of brain-racking, research, planning, meetings, sleepless nights, and countless errors and improvisations go into it. Perhaps it is more of a journey- a journey of excitement and curiosity, a journey of seeing our efforts come alive for those five days.

And somewhere in all that effort lies what is most precious: the memories. Not just for the team that builds the festival, but for the city that returns to it every year; to wander, meet, laugh, listen, and belong.

This shehar ka mela grows with its people, through its people, and for its people.

Thank you to everyone for making MSLF 2026 a reality.
