Mr. Anilkumar's passion for chess is truly inspiring. Despite the emergence of young talents, he remains one of Kerala's best players, finishing 10th in the 2024 State Championship.

It is with profound sadness that I inform you of the passing of Balaram Sir, a pillar of the Kerala chess community. As District Secretary of the Chess Association of Kerala (CAK) and a renowned organizer, he dedicated his life to promoting chess in Kerala.

For me, Balaram Sir was more than a mentor; he was a guiding force and well-wisher over the past decade. His invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support helped shape my chess journey.

His demise is an irreparable loss for Kerala chess, leaving a void that cannot be filled. I struggle to find words to express my gratitude for the bond we shared.

Rest in peace, dear Balaram Sir. Your legacy will continue to inspire and influence the chess community.

I am delighted to announce that in the recently concluded National Under 17 chess championships in Chandigarh, Arpith from Kerala, whom I have been guiding for the past few months, tied for first place and ultimately secured the second position, receiving a cash prize of 70000 INR. Additionally, Nandish, a mentee from our Hatsun chess academy, finished in fourth place and was awarded 45000 INR.

A heartfelt congratulations to both youngsters for demonstrating remarkable perseverance throughout the competition.
