Indian music is all about spontaneity, for centuries this form of music has evolved arguably to be the highest form of improvised music in the entire world, one reason being that the ideas behind the intricate improvisation takes years of rigorous learning and practise, the fine line of structure and grammar gradually dissolves within its aesthetic infinite.

A humble try to be as spontaneous as possible in 10 beat rhythm cycle 'Jhaptaal' in one of my favourite Raga Gorakh Kalyan.
Blessed to have Pandit Parimal Chakrabarty guiding and blessing me in my humble quest.

Special thanks to Kallol Basu, for bringing another dimension with his deep and thoughtful musical feelings as the compere of the evening. He inspired the artists as well as the audience to aspire for higher musical achievements with example from yesteryear's great exponents.
