We, the Tattvam family, express our deepest condolences and outrage, over the abominable and repugnant r**e crime, that unfortunately, had taken place at the, R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, alongside the other ghastly incidents, that had taken place, following the series of protests, over the few days.

We stand in unanimity, for the doctor, with every other protestant, urging the authorities, and the entire Government, to take actions, immediately, so that the perpetrators are eradicated from the society and brought in front of justice, without any delays.

Every beautiful beginning must come to a beautiful end and on this note, with heavy hearts, we bid farewell to the batch of 2024. They were our pillars of strength and our ray of hope in every difficult situation, who taught us to never lose hope. We wish the best, just the best for the next innings of their life, with the promise to keep their dreams alive forever.

This is for them, whose dreams were one of the major reasons how Tattvam evolved from an idea to a venture of success.

The batch of 2024, proved us that dreams can certainly be made to happen in reality. They taught us how we can achieve our goals, from mere scratch, just by sheer hardwork and the spirit of never letting the fire inside us extinguish.

Good-byes are never good-byes, just new beginnings, in a different form. We wish them the best of moments and certainly can and will keep their dreams alive forever, through our very own festival.

Introducing our Guest Lecturer of the Seminar :
Dr. Avishek Adhikari is a prominent figure in the world of academia. To list his achievements in a limited count of words is not humanely feasible. But we'll try to do our best.
Dr. Adhikari completed his Master's Degree in pure mathematics from the University of Calcutta. He then joined the prestigious Indian Statistical Institution as a Junior Research Fellow. After concluding his course work, he pursued his Ph.D under the supervision of Prof. Bimal Roy, the former director of ISI. His preferred field of work during his Ph.D was Secret Sharing, Visual Cryptography and Combinatorial Designs. He then went on to join INRIA, Paris, France as a Post Doc fellow and worked with Prof. Anne Canteaut on Cryptographic Boolean Functions. There he joined Linkoping University, Sweden as a Visiting Scientist and worked with Prof. Erik Trell on DNA Secret Sharing. In 2006, he joined University of Calcutta as a Lecturer. Presently he is the Head of Department of Mathematics in Presidency University.
Professor Dr. Adhikari is a decorated scholar, the founder secretary of IMBIC, India, Treasurer of Cryptology Research Society of India and the former Eastern Zonal Coordinator for NBHM M.Sc and Ph.D Scholarship Examination. He has been a recipient of several prestigious awards such as President of India Medal, ISCA Young Scientist Award and NANUM fund by IMU.
His preferred area of research is Cryptology and Combinatorics. He has done extensive exploration in the intricate fields of secret sharing schemes, cryptanalysis of stream and block ciphers. He is presently invested in the research of quantum cryptography.
He has been a moving force in the world of Cryptology. His determination has inspired students from all over India and has been continuing to inspire even now. Several students completed their Ph.D under his mentorship and many more aspire to work under him.
We are really fortunate enough to have been able to present with an opportunity to attend a lecture by Dr. Adhikari.
