Bharat Dignity Awards Honours Barak Valleyβs Finest in Silchar on it's 4th Season π
In a proud moment for the Barak Valley, the Bharat Dignity Award (BDA), in collaboration with the Department of Bengali, Cachar College, hosted a special felicitation ceremony in Silchar on February 21, observed worldwide as International Mother Language Day.
The ceremony celebrated three distinguished personalities for their outstanding contributions:

πΏ Prof. Parthankar Choudhury (Environmental Advocate, Assam University)
π€ Social Worker Pradip Dutta Roy
They were honoured with traditional shawls, trophies, and certificates in recognition of their dedication to literature, environmental awareness, and social service across South Assam.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of eminent guests, academicians, social leaders, and cultural personalities from across the region, making it a truly memorable occasion.
For the first time, Kolkata-based media house News Mania travelled to Silchar to confer the honours, reaffirming its commitment to recognising grassroots achievers beyond metropolitan centres. Bornali Biswas, Chairman of the BDA Selection Committee and Editor-in-Chief of News Mania, graced the programme along with other prominent personalities of the Barak Valley to honour the award winners. The ceremony reflected the collective commitment of institutions and individuals to celebrate excellence, cultural identity, and meaningful social impact.
