ఎత్తిపోతల జలపాతం, నాగార్జునసాగర్ నుండి మాచర్ల మార్గంలో 11 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో గుంటూరు జిల్లా తాళ్ళపల్లె వద్ద ఉంది.[1] 70 అడుగుల ఎత్తున్న ఈ జలపాతం కృష్ణా నది ఉపనది అయిన చంద్రవంక నదిపై ఉంది.చంద్రవంక నది నల్లమల శ్రేణుల తూర్పు కొండలలో ముటుకూరు వద్ద పుట్టి, తుమృకోట అభయారణ్యంలో తాళ్ళపల్లి వద్ద 70 అడుగులనుండి ఎత్తునుండి పడి ఉత్తర దిశగా ప్రయాణించి, తుమృకోటకు వాయవ్యాన కృష్ణా నదిలో కలుస్తుంది.[2] ఇక్కడ మొసళ్ళ పెంపక కేంద్రం ఉంది.[3] యతి అను పేరుగల ఒక మహర్షి తపస్సు చేసిన స్థలం కనుక, ఈ ప్రదేశం యతి + తపో + తలం (ఎత్తిపోతల) గా ప్రసిద్ధిగాంచింది.ఈ ప్రదేశం సినిమాల ద్వారా అందరికీ సుపరిచితం. ఎప్పుడూ ఏదో ఒక సినిమా షూటింగుతో, వీటిని చూసేందుకు వచ్చే యాత్రికులతో ఈ ప్రాంతం కళకళలాడుతూ ఉంటుంది.
