The Hyderabad Dance Festival is under the able guidance of a Board of Advisors including Shri B. Ananda Shankar Jayant, Shri Rajendra Gangani Ji, Shri Sreenath Muthyala and Km. Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli. The event will be seeing attendance from artists, media, dance enthusiasts and the public from across the country and is an initiative of Udhayam Cultural Foundation, a startup of artists themselves
including Harsha Maheshwari, Mohit Shridhar and Vaibhav Kumar Modi. The celebration of dance and music begins with training with internationally acclaimed artists Ryan Martyr and Mohit Shridhar for the first 7 days. This will be followed by a 2-day advanced workshop by the legendary Kathak maestro, Pandit Shri Rajendra Ganganiji, who is going to share his years of global experience with the participants from all over the country. The day begins with panel discussions among the prominent artists of the city and in the evening, Sham-e-Hyderabad will take everyone on a journey of storytelling with Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam, artists like Ryan Martyr and the torchbearer of Jaipur Gharana style of Kathak, Pt. Rajendra Gangani Ji, supported by
Mohit Shridhar, Nish*t Gangani, Aradhna Karhade Shashtri, Swayamsidha. On Sunday, 11th April 2021, an amalgamation of different forms from Kathak to
Cyphers; Belly dance to Ballet; Salsa to Bharatnatyam; Rap to breaking, the city will
witness the 10th edition of Cypher Hours, where the entire dance community
comes together to jam, grow through cyphers and challenge each other by
battling and expressing without any inhibitions. The festival culminates by giving back to the community by bringing art to the
world of underprivileged children and the transgender community of Hyderabad.
