We are facing a time of unprecedented situations and difficulties, one of them, being locked up inside our homes due to the covid-19 pandemic. As mentally punishing it is to be quarantined from your usual world, and living in fear, it is a thousand times more traumatic for the economically backward sections of people who seem to have lost their livelihood due to it.
We at ICCHE have been trying to get the information from the parents of our icche kids about their well being and have got to know that most of them have lost their jobs due to pandemic and are in financial distress.
And if this wasn't bad enough, due to cyclone Amphan, some of them have lost their homes, their only safe place during these stressful and dangerous times. They have meagre or almost no savings left. A large proportion of them are migrant labourers and having problems in getting ration.
Hence, we have decided to help them from our end.
As it is difficult for us to provide them with the ration and medicines required, we have decided to give them financial aid.
