Glimpses from the opening day of . An innovative cricket tournament starts in Guwahati city. For the first time in Guwahati, an innovative cricket tournament “Clash of Muscles” is being organized wherein 16 teams from major gymnasiums of Guwahati city are competing against each other in a knockout format. The brainchild of four upcoming entrepreneurs Bhaskar Das, Hrishiraj Talukdar, Ritvik Bhattacharya and , the tournament aims to connect cricket with fitness. Also, gymnasiums were one of the worst-hit during the pandemic and the organizers believe such an event shall serve as a morale booster. The event received phenomenal response from gymnasiums and participations have flown in from different corners of Guwahati city viz. Biofit, Dastbi MMA, Kyokushin Karate & Fitness Gym, , Epicentre Body Studio, , Gold's Gym,Ulubari , , Muscle Monkey Health and Fitness Club , NXT GYM , PK Fitness Factory , , Studio Fitness , The Gym,Maligaon and . Clash of Muscles has Fundaaz of the Annapurna Group as the title sponsor. Other corporates who have come forward and funded/supported the event are RS of Annapurna Group, Indian Bank , Purabi Dairy, T-Series Stageworks Academy- Guwahati, Aerofit Fitness, Legendary Sports Nutrition and S S Nutrition. The day and night T10 format tennis ball tournament to be held at Latashil Field was inaugurated on 3rd March, 2021 by renowned bodybuilder Mr. Mahadev Deka and the Managing Director of Annapurna Group, Mr. Subir Ghosh along with dignitaries from Assam Police, Indian Bank, Purabi Dairy, T Series and S S Nutrition. The tournament would continue till 7th March, 2021.
