SANGAM is IIT Delhi’s flagship inclusive sports event promoting para, blind and
accessible sports for students with disabilities across
inter-college national games and meets.

SANGAM is IIT Delhi’s national inclusive sports fest for students with disabilities, created to bring together competition, accessibility, and participation on a shared platform. Over two days, the campus becomes a space where sport is shaped around inclusion and every participant competes with dignity and purpose.

From athletics and cricket to chess, badminton, basketball, and table tennis, each sport at SANGAM follows adapted formats that ensure fair and meaningful participation. The focus remains on skill, effort, and teamwork—values that define sport at its best.

We look forward to welcoming students, institutions, and supporters to be part of SANGAM 2026 and celebrate inclusive sports at IIT Delhi.

Blind Chess at SANGAM 2026 highlights how sport can be shaped around access, skill, and fair competition. Played using tactile boards and verbal communication, the game places strategy, memory, and concentration at the centre, ensuring an equal playing field for participants with visual impairments.

Because when opportunity is designed thoughtfully, the game speaks for itself.

⚠️ Note: The rules shared here are for awareness and reference purposes only. SANGAM aims to encourage participation and support students with disabilities through inclusive sporting platforms.

🎖️ Chief Guest Announcement | SANGAM Closing Ceremony

We are honoured to welcome Mr. Sharad Kumar, Indian Paralympic High Jumper and Arjuna Awardee, as the Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony of SANGAM on 18th January at IIT Delhi.

Mr. Sharad Kumar is a Paralympic medalist, having won Bronze at Tokyo 2020 and Silver at Paris 2024, along with multiple medals at the World Para Athletics Championships and Asian Para Games. His journey—from overcoming physical challenges to becoming one of India’s finest para-athletes—embodies resilience, excellence, and the true spirit of inclusive sports.

His presence at SANGAM, a PwD-inclusive sports event, will be a powerful reminder that determination and opportunity together can redefine limits.
