Telefunken Cricket Club clinch Sood Cricket Title

Fine all round display by skipper Yogesh Nagar 92 runs (3x6s, 7x4s, 69 balls & 2/49) and fine bowling by both Shivam Sharma (3/38) & Ankit Dabas (3/42) enabled Telefunken Cricket Club beat A.C.Sports (Faridabad) by 49 runs to clinch title of the 27th All-India Sperry Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at Shivaji College Ground, here today.

Opting to bat, TCC lost 3 wickets for just 27 runs in 7.3 overs. After that Yogesh Nagar and Parth Madan (69 runs, 1x6s, 9x4s and 56 balls) tried to make a comeback by putting on 75 runs for the 5th wicket. Telefunken Club scored 70 runs in the last 5 overs. Thanks to a little cameo by Abhishek Khandelwal (34 runs, 4 sixes) helping his team reach to a respectable total of 262 runs. Shiva Yadav (5/43) and Himank Singh (2/63) shared wickets for A.C.Sports.

Highlight of the match: Put in to bat DASCB started well with openers Gurkeerat Ahluwalia (41) and Priyank Tehlan (69) put on 96 runs in 105 balls and provided there team a solid platform. After that wickets kept falling at regular intervals and at one stage DASCB were restricted to 181 for 5 in 32 overs. Upender Yadav (31*, 2x6s, 1x4s and 18 balls) with Charanjeet Singh (14*) added 50 runs in the last 4 overs helping their team reach a respectable total of 260 runs.
