Huge congratulations to Nature Morte (Nature Morte ) on the opening of their new space at A9 Gulmohar Park, New Delhi!

Marking 30 years of championing contemporary art and artists from the region and beyond, the gallery opens this new chapter with 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧, an inaugural exhibition featuring 35 artists from its roster, curated by Peter Nagy (Peter Nagy )

Looking at the seismic shifts that have transformed the art world over the past four decades, the exhibition considers the changing position of the contemporary artist — and the distinct visual languages, material approaches and long-term investigations that have emerged in response.

A new space and a new chapter, 30 years in the making.
We can’t wait to see what comes next!

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧, Part I is on view until 10 October 2026 at Nature Morte, A9 Gulmohar Park, New Delhi.

In 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘴, Merci engages with an invisibilised history and a racialised present, tracing the borderland not only as a physical territory, but as an interior condition, one that lingers in the memory, and imagination.

Thamshangpha ‘Merci’ Maku (merci beaucoup ) draws from the non-representational visual language practised by Naga women, a knowledge system passed down intergenerationally through oral instruction, memory, and embodied practice.

Curated by Anna Sireiliu Charenamei (Anna Sireiliu ) and Sohorpem Kazingmei (Sohorpem )
Curatorial Advisor: Shaleen Wadhwana (Shaleen Wadhwana )

𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘴 previews this evening at 6:00 PM and will remain until 31 October 2026 at Anant Art Gallery (Anant Art ) New Delhi.
