Women residents of Chennai are the people who nurtured our community and helped it flourish and grow. They have been the teachers, shop keepers, business people, civil servants, parents and others who have contribute
d so much to the city of Chennai. This day gives us a chance to recognize their sacrifices and contributions. Metro Marathon event is going to be organized on March 6, 2016. We will have a 21k, 10k, 5k “Marathon” to commemorate this glorious event. We are hoping to accomplish two things with this marathon: 1. Celebrate achievements of women and encourage the women of the residents of Chennai to get fit and healthy. 2. Raise funds for the support of girl children around the country. This year’s Chennai Metro Marathon’s theme is “The Chance of a Lifetime to Give a Lifetime of Chance”.Everyone is encouraged to participate irrespective of age, gender, profession.Women, “Let’s run for ourselves".
