பால்புது (LGBTQIA+; பாலினம் மற்றும் பாலீர்ப்பு சிறுபான்மையினர்) சமூகத்தினரின் குறைகளை கேட்டு, அதைப் பற்றி பொதுவெளியில் பேசியதற்கு முனைவர் தொல் திருமாவளவன் அவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் நன்றி கூறுகிறோம். முனைவர் திருமாவளவன் அவர்களும், விசிக கட்சியும், பிற முற்போக்கான குரல்களும் எங்கள் உரிமைகள், கண்ணியம் மற்றும் அரசியல் பிரதிநிதித்துவத்திற்கான போராட்டங்களில் தொடர்ந்து ஆதரவளிப்பார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறோம். பாலபுதுமையினர்களின் வாழ்வியல், போராட்டங்கள், அரசியல் பற்றிய கற்றல் மிகவும் அவசியமாகிறது. அதற்காக விசிக தலைவர்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்ற நாங்கள் விரும்புகிறோம். அனைத்து மட்டங்களிலும், குறிப்பாக சாதி, பால்புதுமை, அடையாளம் மற்றும் பிரதிநிதித்துவத்தின் குறுக்குவெட்டுகளில், மிகவும் முக்கியமான இந்த உரையாடலை உருவாக்க உதவ QCC ஆர்வமாக உள்ளோம்.

We thank Dr. Thol Thirumavalavan for listening to the concerns of the q***r community, and taking steps to address it publicly. We hope Dr. Thiruma, the party and other progressive voices continue to support the q***r community in our struggles for rights, dignity and political representation. A lot of learning and unlearning is needed and we are more than happy to work with VCK's leaders in charting that path ahead. QCC is also happy to address VCK party members in helping build more sensitive dialogue at all levels, especially the intersections of caste, q***rness, identity and representation.

The trans women of Kashmir were esteemed figures at weddings. They were used to receiving warmth and admiration for their pivotal role in arranging marriages, from matchmaking to the culmination of ceremonies.
But now, the marginalised community, which long relied on singing and dancing at wedding ceremonies, and matchmaking for survival, has largely been out of work. At the same time, due to societal stigma, community members have a difficult time finding work elsewhere. Some have even forgotten the sound of their voices or the feeling of dancing to the tune of the tumbakhne’ar, a traditional percussion instrument. Persistent harassment at workplaces and on the streets since time immemorial has pushed transgender persons in Kashmir to the brink of survival, compelling them to resort to s*x work.

InQlusive Newsrooms has selected 13 journalists from across India for the InQlusive Newsrooms Media Fellowship 2023. The selected fellows will be working on stories around LGBTQIA+ issues and communities over the next month, with the InQlusive Newsrooms team and jury mentoring them through the process. The fellows were selected from around 250 applicants, by our jury consisting of Dhanya Rajendran, Editor-in-Chief, The News Minute; Dhrubo Jyoti, Senior Editor, Hindustan Times; Living Smile Vidya, Theatre Practitioner; Meena Kotwal, Editor-in-Chief, The Mooknayak; and Ranjitha Gunasekaran, Assistant Resident Editor (Tamil Nadu), The New Indian Express.

பால்புது (LGBTQIA+ ) மக்களின் வாழ்வியலையும் அவர்கள் சந்திக்கும் போராட்டங்களையும் பொதுச் சமூகத்தில் எடுத்து வைப்பதில் ஊடகங்கள் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றுகின்றன. சில நேரங்களில் பால்புதுமையினர் பற்றிய செய்திகளை வெளியிடுவதில் போதிய ஆர்வமும் பொறுப்பும் இருந்தும் சரியான வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் இல்லாததால் செய்திகள் தவறாகவும் திரிக்கப்பட்டும் வெளியிடப்படுகின்றன. இந்த பிரச்சினையை சரி செய்ய குயர் சென்னை க்ரோனிக்கிள்ஸ் மற்றும் தி நியூஸ் மினிட் நிறுவனங்கள் இணைந்து தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், மலையாளம், மராத்தி, ஹிந்தி மற்றும் கன்னட மொழிகளில் ஊடகக் கையேட்டினை வெளியிடும் பணியை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறது. இதுவரை தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் இந்தி மொழிகளில் கையேடு வெளியிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

ஊடகக்கையேட்டின் நோக்கம்

பால்புதுமையினர் பற்றிய செய்திகளை எவ்வாறு அணுகுவது என்பது குறித்து ஊடகவியலாளர்களுக்கு பயிற்றுவிப்பதே இந்த ஊடகக் கையேட்டின் நோக்கமாகும்.

பயிற்சிப்பட்டறைகள்

ஊடகக் கையேட்டினை வெளியிட்டதோடு நிற்காமல் ஊடகவியலாளர்களுக்கான பயிற்சிப்பட்டறைகளையும் நடத்தி வருகிறோம். ஏற்கனவே பெங்களூரு, சென்னை, ஜெய்ப்பூர் மற்றும் டெல்லியில் நடத்தப்பட்ட இந்த பயிற்சிப்பட்டறை வரும் டிசம்பர் மாதம் 16-ம் தியதி திருச்சியில் நடைபெற இருக்கிறது.

ஏன் திருச்சி?

பொதுவாக தமிழ்நாட்டில் நடத்தப்படும் பயிற்சிகள் சென்னையை மையமாகக் கொண்டு நடத்தப்படுவதால் வெவ்வேறு மாநகரங்கள் மற்றும் நகரங்களில் இருக்கும் ஊடகவியலாளர்களால் அவர்களது பணி நெருக்கடிக்கு இடையே கலந்து கொள்ள முடியாத சூழ்நிலை நிலவுகிறது. அவர்களுக்கான தேவையையும் கள நிலவரத்தையும் கருத்தில் கொண்டே பக்கத்து மாவட்டங்களில் இருக்கும் ஊடகவியலாளர்களும் கலந்து கொள்ளும்படி திருச்சியில் நடைபெற இருக்கும் பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையை நாங்கள் திட்டமிட்டிருக்குறோம்.

பட்டறையில் என்ன எதிர்பார்க்கலாம்?

ஒருநாள் நிகழ்வாக நடைபெற இருக்கும் இந்த பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையில் பல்வேறு அமர்வுகள், உரையாடல்கள்,எடுத்துக்காட்டுகள் மூலமாக பால்புதுமையினர் செய்திகளை எவ்வாறு அணுகுவது என்பது குறித்த பயிற்சியினை ஊடகவியலாளர்களுக்கு அளிக்க இருக்கிறோம். திருச்சி மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுவட்டாரப் பகுதிகளைச் சார்ந்த ஊடகவிலயலாளர்கள் இந்தப் பட்டறையில் கலந்து கொள்ளலாம். திருச்சிக்கு வெளியே இருந்து கலந்து கொள்ளும் பத்து நபர்களுக்கு பயணப்படியாக ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் வழங்கப்படும். கலந்து கொள்ளும் அனைவருக்கும் மதிய உணவு மற்று தேநீர் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

நிகழ்வில் கலந்து கொள்வது தொடர்பாக ஏதேனும் சந்தேகங்கள் இருப்பின் எங்களது மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரியில் எங்களை தொடர்பு கொள்ளலாம்.

பயிற்சியாளர்கள் குறித்து

பதினைந்து வருடங்களுக்கு மேலாக மாநில, தேசிய, சர்வதேச அளவில் பால்புது சமூக மக்களுடன் பணிபுரிந்த அனுபவம் உள்ளவர்களால் இந்த பயிற்சி வழங்கப்படுகிறது. மேலும் ஊடகங்களிலும் விளம்பரத்துறையிலும் பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்களிலும் எழுத்துத் துறையிலும், சர்வதேச வளர்ச்சி அமைப்பிலும் இருக்கும் பயிற்சியாளர்களின் அனுபவமும் இந்த பயிற்சியில் கலந்து கொள்பவர்களுக்கு உதவியாக இருக்கும்.
