Asiya Iqbal Felicitated by Affarwaat XI Cricket Club in Baramulla

Baramulla, April 24: President Women’s Wing JKECC Baramulla, Asiya Iqbal, was invited as the Guest of Honour by Affarwaat XI Cricket Club during a local cricket event held today.
She was felicitated by the cricket team and respected members of the club in recognition of her outstanding work as District President of the Women’s Wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC), Baramulla.

On the occasion, Asiya Iqbal also played a few shots to encourage the young players and boost their morale.

While addressing the gathering, she spoke about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a mission run by the Government of India to eradicate drug abuse. She urged the players to actively contribute towards making society drug-free.

She further appealed to the youth, especially cricketers, to take responsibility and work collectively for a drug-free India, Jammu & Kashmir, and Baramulla.

The event concluded with appreciation from participants, who praised her efforts and commitment towards social causes.

Affarwat-XI Beats Royal CC Magraypora, Storms into Final of Ramzan T10 Tournament Andergam

Baramulla :- Affarwat-XI Sports Club delivered a Splendid all-round performance to defeat Royal Cricket Club Magraypora and qualify for the grand final of the Ramzan T10 Cricket Tournament at Andergam.
After winning the toss, skipper Shahid Mir opted to bat first a decision that proved spot on. Affarwat-XI posted a strong total of 95 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10 overs.
Leading from the front, Skipper Shahid Mir played a brilliant knock of 43 runs off 30 balls, smashing five boundaries and a towering six. He was well supported by Mujeeb ur Rehman, who contributed a quick fire 21 runs off 14 balls, helping the team build a commanding total.
In response, Royal CC Magraypora struggled under pressure and were bowled out for just 45 runs in 9 overs. Mudasir was the only batter to reach double figures, scoring 11 runs.
Affarwat-XI bowlers dominated the game
Shahid Bashir and Aqib Lefty Scalped 2 wickets each while Shakir Lefty, Dar Tawseef, Shahid Mir, and Kaiser took 1 wicket each for Affarwat-XI Sports Club. Shahid Mir was adjudged Player of the match for his outstanding all-round performance.
